  10. I would be willing to host the Secret Santa, unless someone is already working on this. I organized a smaller mission last year. So if no one else is going to come forward, I will start a thread.

Thanks for taking this on, wer'e really looking forward to it. Wish we would have already orderd our personal geocoins, maybe next year. If you need assistance you have a Long Island Elf here to help!

Hope from The Finamore Family :D

  11. US TOO! We loved being involved in secret Santa last year & our 1rst year caching. We loved the shopping as well as the receiving. My son has loved staying pen pals with the beautiful daughter who started this post. As for myself I don't know how to go about starting this project. I am more then willing to work with someone or someones to make this project fun for all. Last year "Butterfly Lady" did a wonderful job! Only 73 days left until the big guy gets here. So to get this back & forth across the seas we should start something soon. PLEASE some takers for this Christmas & geocaching loving family. Hope from the Finamore Family

  12. Well Hi everyone on the Santa mission. What great missions everyone seems to have received. Wanted to update our list so if anyone is wondering. The luck of the Irish should have Queenie B not looking out her window to much longer. The post office told us by the end of the week. Since this was close to home we held on to it a little longer so it would be for Christmas & not Thanksgiving.(sorry! was trying to Christmassy not grinchy) The same goes for a very busy adult in Canada. We have received all of our missions & they have been fantastic. I was holding off writing on them because we did some detective work on two & sent them an email so we could announce how wonderful their missions were. They were not sent out with names or cards just towns. So either our detective work was wrong or they want to play Secret Santa & keep it that way. If you sent it & did not get our email, we would love to hear from you & thank you properly. We have received all 3 of our missions. How some of you are waiting until Christmas that is alot of patience :D We did not last that long it was way to exciting for kids & adults as well. Tomorrow we have double birthdays & a long weekend. So when we come back I will write down the directions of posting pictures here & see if I can try to make heads or tail of it. :D Computers are one of my downfalls. Which brings me around to the moderator who let me know I posted wrong the other day when I tried to tell everyone their packages were mailed. Have a wonderful weekend & may the Christmas spirit stay bright in your hearts while you are waiting on all the long lines & the traffic for miles.

We have been working on what to put into our special packages of course besides a geocoin. I know you have alot of work ahead of you still for sending out the adult missions. I will try to wait patiently with sugar plums dancing in my head & wrapping paper waiting to be wrapped.

HAPPY MISSIONS TO ALL & ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

  16. Hello, to all fellow Geocachers. This will be my first attempt at designing a coin. I choose a topic that reaches all people across the USA. It was inspired by a Country song, "Have We Forgotten!?" The song reminds us of that tragic day in American history. When the Twin Towers fell, and all who were lost on that day. This is a tribute to those lost . I wanted to say, "That We will NEVER forget, and our hearts still ache, for those lost."Here are some photos sent to me from OakCoins.

The coins are being offered in two finishes, at this time. Copper and Gold tone. The date is laser etched, because of the coin being minted so late in the year. And it would be simplier to change the date,if reissued next year.As you will be able to see from the photos, the Twin Towers are the main focus of the coin. You can't help but notice them. I am planning a run of 250 coins total,at this time.If there is enough interest, more will be minted.Photos coming as soon as I figure how to get them onto this forum!

There is no photo's to see, but we have to say that these souind so beautiful, with me being a firefighter I would love to have a couple, copper is our favorite metal. We will def.be interested.

The Finamore Familynever forget that day so hopefully it will never happen again. We need to protect our family, friends & our CHILDREN!

  18. The kids read about this, this morning. They are really excited! They count down the Christmas days from January so this is definately for them/us. Getting gifts any time of the year is fun BUT in Christmas paper it's even better. Thank you for starting this mission & letting us join in the fun.
