  1. I use that quite a bit right now. Just like Google on occasion when I'm using it for other things.
  2. Using Windows XP and Mozilla firefox
  3. I updated the latest version of Google Earth. I cannot view caches on it now. I went to Groundspeak to download the KML file again. My computer does not down load it. I hit save and get a prompt it's saved but there is nothing in the file. Any suggestions?
  4. Thank you for the advise. I've got the E-mails back. I think that is what happened.
  5. Up until the end of June this year I've received regular E-mails from Geocaching with weekly updates and notices of finds on my hidden caches. Now I don't receive anything. I've checked my profile and nothing has changed regarding E-mail notifications. Any ideas as to the problem. Seakayak
  6. That is exactly it. Thanks for the information.
  7. I am using Firefox and I can no longer download the waypoints directly to my Delorme GPS. I update the software download from Geocaching but still no luck.. It works fine with IE. Any suggestions
  8. I'm running Windows XP and Firefox browser. I just tried again and almost all loaded fine. But I still run into a few that won't send to GPS. I'm using a Delorme PN-20.
  9. All of a sudden I can't get "send to GPS" to work on a regular basis. Out of 10 attempts with different caches I maybe get 2 to work. The screen comes up as usual but nothing further happens. It's to the point that it works rarely but most of the time no. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?
  10. I was told the same thing when I hid a cache. But my experience shows not everyone goes by that. Be great if they did.
  11. It's been my experience, including this past weekend, that caches with a rating of 1 are NOT all accesable by wheel chairs. Matter of fact of the 4 we tried they all had 1 for terrain, but all required walking on un even ground and bush wacking.. Not even close to wheelchair friendly. As for the Wheelchair symbol on the cache page: that too has been in accurate and not used where it could be. So, Thank you for all the comments, but I really think this is something that should be addressed by Groundspeak and the people that bring us geocaching.com. It's a great sport which can be enjoyed by wheelchair users.
  12. My caching friend just broke her ankle and is in a cast. I was looking for caches that were wheelchair accesible. The only way to do this was look at every cache and look for the symbol. I was wondering if there was any way to search for handicap accessable caches without going to each cache. If not maybe it's something Groundspeak can look into. Just an observation.
  13. I like the new changes in the Print Friendly page.. However. Decript of the hint does not work and It crashes IE6 constantly. Is anyone else still having a problem with these things or is it ME..
  14. Has anyone tried to use a JUNO based E-mail account with the Caching site for weekly notices? I switched from Yahoo to ATT still have major problems getting weekly notices.
  15. I was wondering if anyone else is having a problem getting the weekly updates in the E-mail. I did not receive them last week nor this week. Is it just me? No, I'm not using Yahoo.
  16. I agree with one of the other replys. Cancer is NOT a SOCIAL issue. And if that is the reason for not allowing the cache.. I totally disagree. I actually think it's a GREAT idea for a cache. Of course it's a little personal for me because my dad is a cancer survivor .
  17. I was wondering if someone can tell me when the weekly new cache list is E-mailed? As in what day? Since changing from yahoo to my other server it is not consistant. Sometimes not at all sometimes on Friday. Can anybody help or give me any suggestions? Of course, other than switching servers AGAIN..
  18. I think you both were a little too curt. A line like.. "How about a hint we can use" isn't the nicest response one would like. A more tempered response may have worked a little better. But the response from the cache hider was Way to curt. The bottom line is.. This is supposed to be FUN. Yes, we all get frustrated when we can't find a cache. But don't take it out on the other cacher. Have FUN with the sport and you'll enjoy it a lot more.. As the old saying goes.. you win some and you loose some..
  19. Next time hold it by the window. On Jet Blue the stewardesses will give you grief if they see it..
  20. I stopped receiving E-mails on Yahoo so I started using another E-mail. A friend is still using Yahoo and receives everything fine. It seems to only affect certain accounts. E-mail yahoo with the problem and hopefully they can fix it.
  21. I wonder if anyone has thought about adding a notation to the cache pages about SNOW? In other words, how they feel snow would effect their cache. Whether or not it would be accesable with a snow cover. I have noticed some (though not many) do say whether or not snow will be a problem. Maybe if more of us did it did this it would help with planning to find a cache. Any thoughts on this??
  22. Yes, You can take the GPS to London. Make sure you have it for the guards to check at the Security gate. It works fine in London and just about anywhere. I've traveled with it to New Zealand and had a ball with it. Enjoy OOOPS.. Don't use it while on the plane.. they really don't like that.
  23. I started with canoes. I know paddle strictly kayaks. Much easier. Yes one can paddle a two man kayak solo but it will not be as much fun as a single kayak.
  24. I think it's a GREAT idea. If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to find it.. It's a free country..
