  1. There are some in Middleton and Verona, just outside of Madison (hmm... how come this thread has not initial post?)
  2. Thanks for the cointest... it was pretty fun going through these amazing photos. Congratulations brewmeister.
  3. I'm new and would love to get in this game. The coins I've seen are too cool looking to drill holes in. I'd go with Rockin Roddy's method. If you need someone in Wisconsin (which I guess would be Northeast US?), let me know.
  4. Thanks... awesome and easy. Now I need to release my bug.
  5. Woohoo! Just received our first TB tag in the mail. It is attached to our miniature mongolian gerbil whose goal it will be to go to (where else) Mongolia . Lil' Clawed Warrior
  6. yep, especially because they always have flowers in their mouths... and here's another mountain creature on the same trip (Marmot).
  7. I upload the photographs I want to post into one of my archived cache logs. Then I click on the photograph in the log to show the 'original' on a page of it's own, I copy and paste the url from that image into the post. Hope that helps. Thanks, here it is:
  8. me too and this thread isn't helping with my patience.
  9. I like the squirrel picture . My furry creature picture keeps on disappearing. I have a link from my Google Picasa web album. Is there a way to directly upload photos into our message?
  10. I hate waiting because i think i could be doing something better with my time, but in reality, I'd probably waste it anyway.
  11. Nice photo. Of course up here in wisconsin that's a regular sight in the winter where it gets down to -15 F (-26C) every winter (and no, I don't get used to it).
  12. Pika... after 4 hours of climbing in the Rockies their high pitched squeaking stopped us. We were wondering what was making the noise until we found this furry thing welcoming us with flowers .
  13. nevermind... forgot about the hour rule.
  14. U.K. Hawaii California Ireland France
  15. I hate waiting because it makes me tired and restless at the same time.
  16. What's the writing on the back of it mean? I thought it was the username of the person that released it, but I couldn't find anyone by the name that's on my bear coin.
  17. I found one also (thought it might be an unactivated one... oh well, it's nice anyway)
  18. Awesome... wish I got into this earlier, I've been to some really cool places that I'm sure would have some 5* that would have been an adventure to get (alas, I didn't know what geocaching was and didn't have my trusty gps60).
  19. No that's "strong atheism" and no one really believes in that (i.e. "I know that god doesn't exist."). Yes, there are some who believe that way. I've met some personally. Many may say that, but if you push most of them, they'll probably give you that 0.000001% chance that god exists (at least that's been my experience). Equal chance? 50/50? Where did you get that? Well agnostics say that they can't know whether god exists or not, which means on the spectrum of "I know god exists" and "I know god doesn't exist", they're right in the middle.
  20. Same here. That's why I consider myself an agnostic. Atheism requires too much dogmatic certainty, which, in my opinion, is unscientific. No that's "strong atheism" and no one really believes in that (i.e. "I know that god doesn't exist."). Most athiests are just below that level ("I am fairly (99.99...%) certain that god doesn't exist"). Agnostics think that there's an equal chance that god could exist or not exist. To me agnostics are more unscientific because they are essentially saying that something is 50/50 when they see no evidence for it. Now... who wants to get back on topic.
  21. I guess... I'll just make some more logs to say I picked it up and dropped it off in the cache that I found it in so that the travel map is up to date.
  22. Why can't we do this? I found a geocoin that was logged in a different cache. Since it was only a few days between when it was last picked up, I assume the person who placed it in the cache that I found hadn't had a chance to log their dropoff. But I didn't look at when the last time the coin was logged so I logged a "found in a different cache." I'd like to delete my log (or change it) so that the previous holder has a chance to log their move and things get cleared up on its travel map.
  23. It's not about holding back your freedoms. It's about common courtesy to other cachers. Despite what some might think, trying to convert people who are not interested is rude (and people who are interested could find more appropriate venues). Similarily, I don't think it's proper (and I haven't heard of it happening) if an employer in the public sector encourages "dress up like the opposite sex day."
