Thanks for the tip, I'll contact the cacher again in hope of it being put back into circulation and now that the wife has told me I can get a new TB ( I guess she eventually felt sorry for me!! Took long enough ) I'll just purchase a new TB and work off that.

My tb starship enterprise was picked up by a cacher in may 2010 and after repeated emails and requests to place it I had no choice but to log it as "lost" Feb of 2011. I received an email from the cacher saying he had found it while spring cleaning in April 2011!! as yet he has not placed it. What I want to know is can I effectively reedit the tb page and use the tb on a t shirt or other item? or do I have to keep it as lost and get a new TB altogether? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

when I joined, I spent ages looking round the room for something to use, being a star trek fan I had loads of books and films that I thought of using but didn't want to be TOO much of a geek! I also then spied my collection of church books and had a wonderful idea. (you know! The first one is usually the worst one!!). I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we have no paid preachers, we operate a system of laypreaching, so... Lds Preacher. I got so much stick of the wife later for it and I still get called sad and a geek for it!! Ah well

hi there, just saying hi, dont know about any caches up there, but I used to live up that way and I thought that if you havent been there before then have fun flying into Barra.... Pray that the tide is out BEFORE you land. The runway is on the beach. Good luck with any caches tho bud.

Guess what? Another newbie!! You got the yanks to thank for this one I'm afraid. I'd love the opportunity to get together with some other cachers and yap away. Being close to Stourbridge, meeting in Brum is good for me, dont know St pauls square well but not a prob being on the buses so to speak! Only problem I have is do I tell the wife that we are meeting up with other cachers when I tell her I'm taking her out for the night? or just surprise her?

Today I managed a number of pivotal moments within my new life as a geo-cacher To start with, a little trip down the road and I found a nice little cache in dingle wood, in the west midlands UK, then as I'm walking up the road with the dog, I'm checking out how to get there on foot on my A to Z map and I walk into my first lamp post!! All those topics on the forum came back to haunt me and I couldnt stop laughing, Old biddy going up the road thought I was crazy!! LOL Doing the Saltwells cache I found my first ever Travel Bug "Lost souls". My first stupid moment, (as a cacher that is!) took a wrong turn climbed over a branch and promptly fell on my back side. Last but not least, all those perfect moments that I could have photographed if I hadn't forgotten my blinking camera!! Unbelieveable!! Im curious, what other pivotal moments have others had? Anything you would like to share? Let me know I'm not the only one please...

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank a friend of mine. magcman from Idaho who is living here in the West Midlands Uk for the next two years. This guy introduced me to geocaching last week, we signed in on his account and found a new multi cache just down the road where I take the dog for walks. And I'm hooked, He has lent me his gps and i've been out near every day for the last week. I now need to convince my wife that we really do need to spend that much money on a gps unit and that it will be very helpful in lots of ways If anybody has any advice for a newbie I'd love to hear it. I also now need new boots and a bike to get to some of the further away caches as I dont drive. Thanks Magcman for giving something else to spend my money on!!
