  1. Gotcha. Surely there has to be an easier way to do this. Are there any non-abrasive tools?
  2. When it's set to auto archive daily, which timezone does Garmin uses to end and start a new day?
  3. For the Garmin 65s and Garmin 66SR, if the storage is blank since it's a new unit, how many days' worth of tracks I can record with a one-second interval?
  4. I usually have the backlight at the lowest possible brightness to conserve battery power. However, I read that I can turn off the screen completely while it's still connected to GPS installation to preserve battery life. However, I can't tell if it's connected to GPS in that situation. Is there any way such as a light indicator that can warn me when it's connected to GPS or not? This is for the Garmin 65s and 66SR.
  5. The last Garmin unit that I got which was easy to remove AA batteries was the 60CSx. Every Garmin handheld unit I've got since is really difficult to remove AA batteries. I've tried using the tip of a pen or the flat end of a nail clipper to remove the batteries and over time it just damages the exterior of the batteries. It's not an issue for disposable AA batteries, but it's an issue for rechargeable AA batteries. So I guess I'm wondering what's a better way to remove the AA batteries? Thx!
  6. Any update on this problem? I don't feel very hopeful since this thread hasn't been updated in a while.
  7. You're making some really stupid and bizarre comments. I'm not active on this forum and now I want to get back into this hobby. Trolling? Wow. I think it's crazy that you have this much time to dig up old posts and then making crazy insinuations. If I'm not sure of something, I'm going to ask. How that constitute as trolling is beyond me.
  8. I don't have the 62s with me so how can I test this? Seems creepy for you to go back and dig up old posts and then insinuate something is wrong.
  9. I'm assuming that screenshot from @Mineral2 is from the status page? Meaning, it's not possible to screen capture that then?
  10. Is there any way to see the status page and have the ability to screen capture?
  11. So the "T" means southeast? I suppose if you're southwest, the location of the "T" would shift to the lower left corner?
  12. That's fantastic! Thank you so much!!! What does the "T" underneath the degree symbol mean? I'm assuming the elevation is based on the reading from the barometric altimeter in your device? If you set your power button to take a screenshot (that's the default?), then how can I see the status page?
  13. Maybe you should stop quoting it because I want to see a screenshot and it's not there. So it's a total waste of time.
  14. If the menu is the same, then I'm not worried. Please show me a screenshot from your Oregon. I really want to learn as much as I can from this community. Thx in advance. Hope to see something tonight!
  15. Why are you making an assumption as to what I want to do? I want that information in my screen and I want to take a screenshot of it. I can't figure out how to do this. I'm not an expert like you. Can you show me a screenshot showing this? I keep hearing you say it's possible and I see no evidence that it is to get all of that information on one screen.
  16. The screenshot in those links doesn't really specifically answer my questions. I don't see such a screen in the link showing the compass in degrees. I get the feeling you rather not configure your unit to show me if it's possible and refer me to a link. I already said I'm not an expert on this topic. At this point, I still don't know if I can configure a Garmin unit to display exactly what I want to display.
  17. Again, I'm assuming the battery save mode will still be on, but the screen will turn off after a pre-determined period of time?
  18. Obviously I'm not an expert or else I wouldn't be asking the questions.
  19. Can you elaborate on this? So if the screen times out, I'm assuming you mean it turns off, then how can I turn on the screen again to check the status or whatever I want, and will battery save mode still be enabled to turn off the screen after a set period of time?
  20. How does the battery saver mode work on a 65s/66sr? If I turn it on, I'm assuming the screen will turn off after a pre-determined time? How can I turn the screen back on to use it? Will this disable the battery save mode? If not, I'm assuming the screen will automatically turn off again? My goal is to set the track log to record at a 1 second interval with multi-GNSS and multi-band on.
  21. This is so dumb. I'm surprised Garmin haven't addressed this. Any plans to deal with it?
  22. It said the status page isn't available if screenshot mode is enabled. Then what?
