  1. Garmin ROCKS. I bought my Colorado a week ago knowing it had a few bugs. (Well really a lot). But unlike some, I've been a Garmin user since GPS'r came available to the public. Garmin is probably the only GPS company that does care about its product and I knew it was just a matter of time until a update. Garmin wont let us down, keep the faith.
  2. White the Colorado knows where the satelite is, and blue the Colorado is actually locked into the satelite and using it for your position.
  3. I completed the tutorial, where do I see I completed it?
  4. Ok, I should have been more specific. How do you remove the caches from the CO. Do you have to do it in Explorer or how. If I understand it right, right now the caches are read only and you can make them regular waypoints and then go the the cache page to read the info????
  5. Can someone with a little more than 1 hour experience (that is what I have with this unit) tell me how to delete geocaches from the unit. Also does the CO let you mark them as completed when you find one?
  6. Want to move into the Colorado (probably a mistake)
  7. I have this great unit for sale. $300 Like new with everything that came in the box. Never been registered. If interested contact me by email ros190@msn.com Split shipping from Oregon.
  8. Hey there is a program out there that opens the down loads from geocaching and will transfer them to garmins mapsource. Any body know what I'm talking about.,
  9. While looking over my 76CS, I noticed the Jumpmaster Icon under the setup option. I haven't been able to locate any information regarding what its for. While in the Jumpmaster screen you have several options. Jump Type: HALO, HAHO, Static Impact point drop alt open alt forward throw course to HARP wind, constant, GOTO HARP, and Auto to DIP Why doesn't Garmin give out some information. I'm a pilot and this could be useful. Has anyone else noticed anything not published about the 76CS? I checked with my friends 60C and he doesn't have the Jumpmaster option. Thanks for any help.
  10. Has anyone tried to download caches into the 60c? I just tried easygps and it wont accept it. Which program should I use.
  11. How about a 120? I have one for sale, make me an offer.
  12. I would be glad to help. I even made a program on the computer that will explain the gps units we use. Let me know Quad gdr@internetcds.com You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V

  14. I was wondering what the nasty smell at pizza the other night was. Now I know, it was Lazyboy's underwear. Yuck. You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V
  15. Way to go Logscaler. I just hope you dont have the people that say there is no way he got 31 caches in one day. I trust that you did all 31, and now your a witness to the fact that Nomer and I hit 25. (at least you saw we hit quite a few of the same ones.) The people that cant believe you or I for that matter hit a big number of caches in a day can take a hike, if you know what I mean. Again great job, and hope to actually meet you on a cache hunt someday. Quad You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V
  16. I can't give you a painted rock, although I can help you out with everything else you asked for. Even the emergency couch. Just email me and I can feel you in on what ever you need. Maybe in return you'll help us K-Fallers out if we head up north. Glad to have you. You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V
  17. I noticed my name brought up a couple of times in this forum. Well I just want to thank Lazyboy for setting the record straight. Missnomer and I did hit alot of caches in one day. Anybody can go and check. Like Nomer stated we did a night of planning, and new before hand that we wouldn't spend much time looking for any one cache. In fact we even got skunked on one. We were on the wrong side of the Rogue River with time running out to get home before dark. We had a great time, and if out of towners need some helpful advise on making a raid down here I would be glad to help them out. You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V
  18. When on the map page, hit menu, then select MapSource Info. A list of all installed maps appears. Hit menu again. Here you can Disable Which ever map sets you want with one move. Quad You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V
  19. I just recieved the Metroguide software for my V. Just want to know if any one that is using the same has any points or suggestions on how they work together. Do you need to turn off Metroguide, so topo will work out on a cache hunt? Any help would be great. Quad You hide it and I'll try and find it. GARMIN V
  20. Missnomer, I would be more than happy to give you a class on using your GPS. Then maybe I could have a little competition around here. Just kidding. Have a good easter. Quad

  22. Well here we are the end of March. No update. Just wondering if it was just rumor, or is Garmin just running behind? I'm waiting. Quad
