  1. Hi, I've recently started this game and have been spending a bit of time looking around the forums. I see there is one designed for cachers in the UK, of which I am one, and also for those in different countries. There's also a whole load for people from different parts of the USA. But there are a number of what appear to be more "general" forums like this one. I've looked through these and almost all the contributors are American. I was wondering if this is by design, if non-Americans are unwelcome or what. I've just made my first contribution as I felt strongly about something and I just wanted to check that I wouldn't be upsetting the forum guidelines by posting here.
  2. I've yet to place my first cache but when I do, I hope to find a more exciting location than that! I didn't start this hobby to spend my time walking around car parks and main roads thank you. I'm glad for the hobby that it got turned down. Well done Mr Reviewer for sticking to the guidelines.
  3. Ha! What do you mean? I've yet to place my first cache but I've read the guidelines and they state: Surely a cache has to play by the rules or it won't get approved.
  4. I'm new too and I've yet to meet anyone so you're not alone. Don't worry about getting into trouble with farmers, all caches have been placed with the landowner's permission so go out there and enjoy yourself.
  5. But I thought the idea was to hide caches, not to make them visible. Have I got it wrong?
  6. I recently started geocaching and have just stumbled across this forum. This is my first message so please be gentle with me. While doing the caches I have found I had to cross a road on which there were things called cars. I understand these can hurt you if you get too close to them. I think cachers need to be warned. How often you you go where these dangerous beasts canbe found? Now I think I have good reason to be worried. Come on folks, I'd love to find a snake on my travels but these days what's the chance. There are way more dangerous things to worry about than snakes. This is an outdoor activity and humans have managed to survive the outdoors for millenia so stop worrying.
