  1. I went to the local hobby store and purchased a "treasure chest" to store my coins. I put them in the stiffer baseball sized sleeves, the kind that are thicker plastic. The coin at the bottom and the activation card at the top. They fit perfectly in the "treasure chest", sort of like a card file (rolodex). I looked at coin albums as well, but figured I'd put the coins in a book and leave it on a shelf to collect dust. This way, the "treasure chest" is out in the open just like a perfect decoration for my wife's knick knack area
  2. OOOOOH, missed out by one post!!! Congrats to the winners and thanks for the cointest. It was fun to read about how people come up with names. Especially since I'm new to the forums. This is a blast!!
  3. Here Comes the Summer by the Undertones
  4. I have a question that I'm sure has been asked before but I haven't been able to find it. Is it possible to change my geocaching name to something that will better fit my whole family now that they have caught the bug as well? I realize I can just sign up another name, but I want to keep my finds, logs, ect. Is this a possibility??
  5. My caching name isn't as dramatic as some of the other postings in here but I'll give it a go anyway. jnbball is the handle/username I've used ever since I started "computing" over 20 years ago. I became frustrated every time I'd go to a web site I was a "member" of but hadn't visited in quite a while. Being as absent-minded as I am, I decided to use a name that I could remember no matter what. Hence, jnbball was born (in several different variations (jnbball, jn-bball, jn_bball, ect.)). It stands for my initials followed by my favorite sport, basketball(even played a little in college).
  6. I'm pretty new to this whole "addiction" and have been reading a lot of the postings in the forum over the past month or so. I've tried to post if I thought I had something to say This thread intrigues me a great deal. As I am new to geocoin collecting, I have quite a few coins on my wish list. I think a lot of them are fairly new, but not sure. I've signed up on the Google Docs address list (Thanks Jodi for the tips), and am trying to get a trade/wish list put together. I guess I'll just get to the coins that have really caught my eye so far : DaVinci 3-coin set is AWESOME (almost won the Ebay auction ). any CSI coin. 4 Musketeers coin (blue and black). 2007 Dragonfly coins. The Birka coin series are cool too. And most of all: The MICKEY DIVER mystery coin!! I've seen a couple postings with pictures and I absolutely love that coin. My daughter would absolutely flip if I could get my hands on that one.
  7. I requested and was granted access earlier today. Now I am not able to access the document. Am I doing something wrong??
  8. Thanks for the advice. I was leaning towards trading also since I have seen a lot of really cool coins that I would love to have and I'm pretty sure my wife has cut me off now!! I'm working on a list of coins I have that I would be willing to trade (very small list) and a list of coins I would like (HUGE list). Is it okay to post a link to a personal web page or is that frowned upon? As far as earning extra cash on Ebay goes---I have to admit I've considered selling my extra set on Ebay considering what some sold out coins are going for; however, I just don't have a good feeling making money off of someone else's awesome design just because I happened to be lucky enough to get some. If it is okay, and I can find the appropriate thread, I will post a trade/wish list. Thanks for your help.
  9. I got my invoice from Tsun so I think I'm good to go Coming from me, someone who is very NEW to this "addiction", it was a blast. Especially since I had to send my boss on an "errand" so she wouldn't catch me buying coins at work!! Now comes the part that I'm sure a lot of people will have opinions on (Thanks TeamFireboy (Jodi)) for helping to explain some things about how this works. Anyway, I digress...I bought two full sets of this beautiful coin (thanks Tsun). Do I sell on Ebay or trade? Which is the more accepted method because I don't want to offend anybody, especially since some may be if their hard work is sold on Ebay. I am just getting started so I don't want to make everyone think I'm just trying to make a buck because I was a second quicker on the submit button... Thanks for your help.
  10. Who do I need to request access to this list from? I'd like to participate
  11. Since I am fairly new to this whole Geocoin collecting thing; how does one go about trading for a coin this awesome? I've purchase a dozen or so coins but I'm sure they are nothing you don't already have, or would want. What would I need to do to get one of these? Thanks.

  16. No need to desire today behold love tomorrow Why lust after someone for a moment when you can love someone forever (letter to significant other)
  17. I think my daughter would be interested in something like this; however, I am not sure how it works. Once we get the penpal's name we send a coin and ??? to the little tyke and get the same in return? What is the MISSION? Thanks, and sorry if these questions are easy but I'm really new to this whole thing.
  18. Are these for sale anywhere?? I don't have any trades but would really like this coin. Thanks.
  19. Okay, not sure where to start here. My family and I just recently started Geocaching. It is so much fun; we are having a blast searching for "treasure" together as a family. It's great. I've been reading about the Mickey Mystery Coin and people getting their mail on a random day with a "mystery" package containing a coin. My question is: how does the mystery gifter know where to send the coin? I know that I am fairly new to Geocaching, and being from South Dakota, probably out of the way for most of the events I've read about in the forums, but my daughter would go absoulutely bananas if she had one of these awesome "Mickey Divers". How does the mystery gifter get addresses? Sorry if these questions have already been covered in another posting, but I've just spent the last hour reading about all the cool stories from other members getting the mystery Mickey coin in the mail and it aroused my interest, and longing for a Mickey Diver coin...
