  1. The cache should be reclassified as a puzzle, not a traditional - admin for the area?
  2. Yep, that would be a nice Premium Member addon.
  3. Be prepared for it to go missing. One here had a single picture added (by me) before the next finder took the USB card.
  4. I enjoyed Wheel Cipher (see my favorite list for the puzzle. The cache is on the way to the desert museum. I also enjoyed this one: Petroglyphs
  5. Has anyone tried this with a version of S&T lower than 2005?
  6. I would respectfully disagree with this - micros under lamposts, I agree with you, but here's a recent log of mine from a cache down here in AZ: There are times and places for micros. Walmart is not one of these. Creative micros that are not impossible to find are.
  7. GSAK is an incredibly useful piece of software. I would also likely not be a premium member if it was not available. It greatly enchances my geocaching experience, espcially when travelling to different locations. It would be good if there could be two sections on the software page, one for free software, one for software that requires donation (but also encourages premium membership, as cachemate and GSAK do).
  8. Very nice - what does the &f=1 mean, and is it documented anywhere?
  9. Yep, back to orthos and geosense. If it did ever happen it may reduce the number of new geocachers, but it may encourage some retired geocachers to start again....
  10. It would also be great if caches on the newest in state list (/nearest.aspx?state_id=22) would also pay heed to my ignore list. Maybe it's just me.
  11. Does anyone know of plans to allow a GPX download of someone's list, rather than .loc?
  12. The new bookmark lists could really lend themselves to the cache rating system, as discussed here
  13. Is there a command to take me to new posts in the forum?? Nice addon, thanks.
  14. You could manually change individual icons, but in S&T there is no way to do this based on one of the fields in the import file. You can however do this in Mappoint, which has much better data handling capabilities. Mappoint is 3 times the price...
  15. To answer my own question: Set up 3 or more filters (I called them trad, multi, puzzle, other)- note the name you save them as. Make a macro: FILTER NAME=TRAD EXPORT Type=SNT File="C:\TRAD.CSV" FILTER NAME=MULTI EXPORT Type=SNT File="C:\MULTI.CSV" FILTER NAME=PUZZLE EXPORT Type=SNT File="C:\PUZZLE.CSV" FILTER NAME=OTHER EXPORT Type=SNT File="C:\OTHER.CSV" Bingo, 4 csv files ready to go. As to the question why do I do this - it allows me to import the files and assign them different icons - i.e. I end up with an S&T map that looks like GC maps.
  16. Feature request or guidance needed: I use streets and trips - I have loaded in the cache images from GC.com to use as custom pushpins. I then do three imports (trad, multi, puzzle) into S&T. It would be great if I could tell GSAK to output the caches in the current filter into three files automatically- e.g. mycaches_trad.txt, mycaches_multi.txt, mycaches_puz.txt rather than having to filter for each type, then do a seperate export. Maybe this is already possible?? Thanks, AJK
  17. Strangely, another on of my PQs works okay - a gallery displays (6000 pics), and they seem to be from caches in the PQ. The PQ that does not work is one that contains all of my found caches
  18. I just previewed one of my PQs. At the top there was a link to a gallery (along with an edit and new search links). Clicking the link took me to a gallery of thumbnails - 50 pages, 1000 pics. There was an error message in red at the top: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: "abe95162-5223-470d-8ea5-72f5248406da" Key being added: "abe95162-5223-470d-8ea5-72f5248406da" The first few thumbnails that I clicked on were not included on logs that were part of the original PQ. Feature? If so, what should I have seen? Bug in feature? Who knows? Just an FYI
  19. Ditto, I am going to take to emailing admin in our area to try and get some of them changed.
  20. $40 for towing my rental car off a mound of earth designed to stop cars.... (AAA - the US equivalent of the RAC payed half of that). DNF the cache as it was 2 hours before my plane was leaving, though I did get a cache on the way back to the airport. $120 after being towed - parked legally, but the cop thought it was abandoned. It would have been a DNF, but when I came out of the woods, and found the car missing, I instead found the owner of the cache who gave me a slight hint - went back for FTF. Edit. Spelin

    Phoenix

If you find some good caches, please report back. We are in Phoenix in 2 weeks time. I plan on getting some of the caches in South Mountain Park. Thanks, AJK
  22. I have a wooden M10bike nickel that I'd like to swap for a real one...
  23. I have read the other thread - some great ideas. Here's my take, I cache in areas that are unknown to me. I would like to be able to do a PQ on an area, and have 5-20 caches in the area highlighted as good ones. I do not want to read the logs of 300-500 caches in an attempt to find those myself. I do this sort of caching on a regular enough basis that joining local forums, etc. is time consuming. I know some areas may have more or fewer ribboned caches - that's fine, I can look through these. Basically, I want, I want, I want.....
  24. I have a similar picture of my mum, just after finding your Blasted Flume cache.
