what you can do is look at the caches around you house and see if some of the people that have a couple finds and hinds and talk to them. Im sure that they would be happy to teach you and let you tag along on some hunts. You could also go to some events and meet people.

Just doing a quick google search it looks like it would work. But i have no familiarity with this model or brand. You could try this link to read more about it

Pictures - Cool Cache Containers (CCC's)
stryder717 replied to AmishHacker's topic in General geocaching topics
well i just finished reading all 53 pages and i ahve to say WOW there are some crazy caches. This Thread really got me thinking about things to make. -
i was thinking about doing one like this also. My idea involved having the cache container float, but i like the idea of the fishing "float."
-
Im glad to see that there are so many cachers that carry. This is an issue that i was thinking about recently. I am totally for open and concelled carry. I will be getting my ccl in a few weeks when i get a new drivers license (just moved and still have out of state license).

It sounds like an over protective firewall. I would just ignore it.

now you get to log it as a find. Ps. where did you find it at? How far did it travel? just courious.
-
I have seen that a bunch over the past couple of days

As far as the FTF go i sould sugest signing up for the email. At least in my area, and more than likely every area, caches get FTF'ed with in a couple of hours after they get published
-
i -try- to log all my dnf because it helps the cahce owner 1) know when they need to go check on it or 2) if no one can find it then they may need to increase the rating.
-
If they are called "muggles" then they "muggle" so the word "muggled" is perfectly acceptable. As far as "mugglers and mugglered" go, i have never heard them used.
-
the lower line may have been skewing you results, since your first one was right. But that is just a thought
-
yea we can look at bookmarks
-
Really it jus depend on what kind of caching you will be doing. if you are only doing park and grabs or a bunch of urban caches then you dont really need all that stuff but, if you are doing rural caches (which it seems) then all the above mentioned items are geat to have.

Can we please get rid of the "Discovered it" option?
stryder717 replied to Highpointer's topic in Trackables
i dont think that there is anything wrong with the Discovered option. People just need to be educated about how to log a TB/coin. Whey would you make everybody move the item? The item should be for someone who could help it accomplich its mission. -
ill help out. i live in the Atlanta Ga area

a friend of mine had chiggers really bad and scratched until the drew blood. Someone told him about the fingernail polish trick but all he could find was metallic silver polish. He thought it would do the same thing, in a way it did. It stopped the itching but ALL the sores became infected and he had to go the the ER and get the scabs SCRUBBED off. So if you do go the nail polich remover route make sure it is clear and you done have open sores.

first to find and coolest things found in cache
stryder717 replied to garynlyssa's topic in How do I...?
Probable a gift card for 5-20 dollars would be good, or maybe a special coin or something. -
you could use a 35mm film container. and it doubles a a replacement geocache
-
the green boxes are traditional caches the 2 yellow/orange boxes are multi stage caches, the question mark is unknown caches.
