  1. What is a Jasper Loop"New term for me. Edit; 3/3: had not noticed the misspelled word; I know what I meant to type!
  2. Your question will undoubtedly help someone else.
  3. I have no idea how to take a picture on my iPhone and put it on their survey screen. Edit: Sent them Study people a message concerning this and one solution they recommended does not work for me. So another one can be tried.
  4. I will check, thought I did that! Edit: Went back and after maybe five or six tries at that scrolling they finally showed up.
  5. I know this in an outside of Geocaching.com study, but the list is to show 25 nearest traditional caches; the list I have shows 21, the map beside that list does show 25. However, I checked three of the caches today and one was in good shape, the other two were not there any longer. I could only record survey response for two , the third does not show on the list, but does show on the mail but clicking on the cache icon does nothing. And I guess that a log entry such as NM or just a note about the cache is permissible with the Geocache Cache Condition Research Study. I thunk when I do write a note I will mentioned it was checked to complete the study.
  6. This note is on the cache list page: "Note: You must visit caches you already found or you own for this study in order to obtain unbiased data on cache condition in your area." Hopefully each cacher will be as honest with personal caches as with others.
  7. Just signed on to see if there was anything about this.-- I signed on and it knew my user name and had 25 caches close to me ; but the list only showed 21, the map beside the list showed all of them though. One happens to be my own and one cache I was contemplating not going for - a 35 foot crawl in a storm sewer! The rest I found already--just to remember where!
  8. When I responded above I intended It to include only those caches where it is known the CO is no longer active, and also that the cache is still viable and ready. When a cache is adopted do the finds continue under original COs names or show under the adopters name? I thought the latter. But since a CO no longer active, for whatever reason, will likely not be able to agree to adoption anyway, archiving that one and starting a new would serve the purpose.
  9. (Separate topic, I know, but I do wish Groundspeak had a way for COs to adopt active caches that are owned by inactive players. I appreciate the reviewers who are willing to overlook this when there are lots of finds and FPs, but... keeping old caches that are great going strong can only benefit the game - right?!) Maybe a determined time frame of no action on CO part of hiding or finding any caches, maybe have a programmed nudge to the CO after a period of time and a place for the CO to respond with reason. No response - open for adoption IF the cache is verified in place etc.
  10. I could not figure out the clues!
  11. I found all locations, 8 of 7 the first time, 7 of 7 the second but had no idea how to proceed from there.
  12. Guess that is it Edit: Can use the iPhone to delete, a but more involved but doable.
  13. I have been trying to delete found or archived cache's from List I have made, but when I select the particular cache and go to Delete I get the followup message on the screen " "We had trouble loading your List. Please try again by refreshing the page." I go back and refresh the page when restart and nothing. Is that a Geocache.com glitch or something with my computer?
  14. Thank you, be interesting to see one being erected and put in place.,
  15. cannot read the entire message, maybe change font size?
  16. I use an iPhone 13 with the AL app and I can only see any AL on it, not on any map on the home computer with geocaching.com
  17. One cache I know of the CO merely had a poster listing a lost dog with a number to call. You were supposed to call that number which was as described above a preceded message on a spare old phone. I could not figure how to find the second part of the multi even when the CO was there taking to me! I merely used the hint which placed in only viable spot. Ended up with FTF. Not really like the beacon though.
  18. How can we find out how many of the 4000 are in place now? Mine is.
  19. What filters do you have set up in Search?
  20. I guess if you keep track of consecutive days of finds the corollary is days not found. Can be a motivating toll but as mentioned heath issues can interfere and make it more a negative. aspect. How many others notice your track record anyway?
  21. found 8 of 7 clues then had to do other things. But not sure where to go now!
  22. yes, that path is how I got it. Missed the spelling error!
  23. "To Cache a Cacher "as written, I tried various capital letters. Using search filters and the State (Delaware) and part of the cache name (To Catch) I found a lot of caches and one other one with that name - in part- but not in Delaware.
  24. I tried but it did not work, now it will when I try it again! Thanks.
