  1. It looks like you hyave found ten caches so your are already "in" Welcome
  2. "interesting. IPhone, perhaps? My screen on Android." on the iPhone like shown by geoAwareUSA9, on the main geocaching page shows time, as mentioned right below finds then towards the bottom
  3. Mine show up the Profile page in two place, near the top under finds, and lower as stated above
  4. I think was C & O Canal :Exploring Lock 44, could have been Cushwa Basin in Williamsport , two of three in close proximity in Williamsport, Md. I cannot locate that message now to be sure. The answers I have to write done if they are coordinates numbers, not smart enough to know how to out them into my iPhone - find the answers, write them down and then then use answers get the coordinates I usually enter them as corrected coordinates on geocaching.com
  5. I received a message from a geocacher asking me to supply the numbers found in questions of all stages of one AL. I said he lost his paper with the answers and would like me to provide him the numbers I figured out and did find the bonus. I tried to see what ALs he has logged as found using Project PC, he is there but blocked his data. Sounds fishy to me. If I knew he did find the stages, and depending on where he lives, I may help. Sounds like "I want a find".
  6. Maybe delete the log and start over?
  7. The only way I know is not on the app or Geocaching.com, but using Project-PC. Under profile and enter user name. I think you can find their logged caches on Geocaching.com by clicking on their user name on one of their logged finds, if you do not know a logged find then no.
  8. My brother, also a geocacher, received personally from the maker, a small handmade coin type item with numbers on it. He received it from the person who made it while she visited a cache of his, we do not know if it is trackable, I do not think she said. I guess we can try to go through the process of finding one. I have not yet seen it to see the number . Edit Looked at cache page and no trackable shown in it--no room anyway come to think of it.
  9. Welcome to Geocaching - go at your own pace and enjoy .What part your city do you live?
  10. I looked at the listened found four within a reasonable distance from me, the distance must be straight line not travel distance though. Thanks for the link.
  11. Could you leave it as it now is and make a note in the description the change and the reason?
  12. I am not sure about age requirement for your own account but do not see why there would be restrictions on attending event . Getting to them may be a small problem to solve. I asked the Help section for advice. Welcome to Geocaching
  13. What I normally carry is my iPhone and a pen; completely forgetting mycaching pack with tweezers, extra bags ,etc. I normally have in my pocketat all times a small bison tune looking tool used to rewind very small logs. I have a Garmin Etrex which at times wish I Hadith me-= but then need to remember to download caches first!
  14. It maybe that was too open and someone figured it to be litter. I think it best to hide from easy view. Maybe covering with some natural item that will be blown away or removed as rubbish or such. Did you get permission from the park?
  15. I take it for granted you refer to one you put into the system. I would go back the the Trackable history page under My Trackables, and look to the right and see what you can do under Edit. I am sure others will provide help.
  16. Are you referring to a Trackable you found in another cache and moving it on (drop) or did you get a new Trackable to place for the first time?
  17. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought only Premium Caches showed only to Premium Members. But once the cache located and the physical log is signed (which any finder can sign) it can be logged as found on Geoicaching.com under that appropriate cache. After writing that I realized if the cache does not show up to a non-Premium Member they would have no way to log it online. I guess maybe on your log as Premium Member include the other cacher's user name in the narrrative - won"t help his stats but the history of finding is there. I am sure there will be better responses.
  18. First off, I am in Pennsylvania so cannot just drop by to check this one out. But I do know one place I would look at pretty soon after arriving at the appropriate spot. Determining that spot though may not be easy. Maybe a map of the park might help. I may just go back to the cache page and look under directions to see what I might see. Take notice, it was found the day it was published and four times later. Good luck.
  19. simple trig? I could not get through algebra! Ran into this exact dilema recently, had a puzzle cache to decipher which I was able to do with a bit of help, a bit more than I expected actually, but the clue led to finding the cache by bearing and distance, I wanted to try to get coordinates for the second part, mostly to see if could do it.The second part of the cache involved is lessthan 100 feet away so eyeball navigation should suffice - have not yet made it back to get the cache.
  20. should be able to get it from ProjectPC, but you need to subscribe
  21. No, nothing moved. The only reason I considered changing anything is because when the second correct coordinates are determined they show when plotted on the Direction to cache map they show at a wrong spot. And apparently for some also on the tool they use to find the coordinates -- iPhone , Garmin etc. BUT some have found it and said coordinates are okay. I recently found a puzzle cache description with a puzzle which gave me ideas. Maybe leave as a multi and tweak the description
  22. I have an active multi - cache in place and wondering if is is allowed to change the category to a puzzle cache and change the description to a puzzle type. Nothing else will change. I have presently a first stage with clues to figure to determine the coords to the next stage, which is not far away.
