  1. Did the exact samething as ZJ. Makes me feel alittle better knowing that there are others in the same boat. But I had no idea there was a new Tb design coming. This make the waiting alittle easier. but only a little.
  2. I'm on that list as well, its been two weeks since I placed my order, and nothing yet. I thought backorders where only for ruining christmas!
  3. We traveled to Albuquerque in the fall and the "Downtown" series were really neat, and convienant if you have other things to do while in town.
  4. This is actually an effort to enlist my brother into caching. Ya see he's a muggle. (or else I would have him place a cache) I'm sending him one of my old GPSr's, and hoping if I make some kind of personal mission with him involved, he'll share in my addiction......thanks all forthe input!!
  5. I'm thinking of releasing a bug in New England, and having its mission to reach a certain cache in Florida for my brother who lives near by to retrieve it. My question is,should I clear this with the cache owner in Florida,or not worry about it? (lets face it, it probably won't make it there anyways)
  6. I have been doing the cellphone/ camera deeks. But lately for more urban micros I just do it. Don't even worry about muggles. You'd be surprised by how many people just don't care what you're doing.
  7. This is a great idea, put-in's for flat water kayaks or canoes!! I think this may have been mentioned in another proposal, but the more it comes up, the greater the chance it has of being adopted.... Great idea!!
  8. Thank you... I couldn't for the life of me find the cache type page.. This helps ALOT!!!
  9. I should know this, BUT what is the definition of "SMALL" Caches? I assume its smaller than regular but larger than a micro. Is that correct?
  10. Boat access is of course very useful, but maybe some sub catagories would help. Perhaps by type of boat, motor or canoe, kayak, sea kayak. Or by type of body of water, Ocean, lake , river, rapids. Or interest, flat water canoe, water skiing, fishing... I don't know how deatiled you'd want to go.
  11. I was just about to suggest this.. good thing I checked all the posts first. It might be because I just read 1776, but I like this idea alot. another vote YES!
  12. Another great idea! My wife & I have been visting all vineyards in our state over the past couple of summers, and though my wife isn't a huge caching fan, the trips allowed us to combine my caching and with something she'd enjoy. Very good idea.
  13. Great idea!! Another idea for pet owners, might be a sub catagory under lodging for pet friendly hotels.
  14. One of my Favorite caches in Connecticut is "Domestically Disabled" (GCGC39 ), its a good hide and a great hike, and the views rank amungst the best in the state, yet the traffic on this cache is terrible. Do you have any favorite caches in your area, that no one goes to?
  15. There are all sorts of folks out there. Some in my area have gone out in the dead of night in blizzarde conditions for FTF's. I'm not that committed myself, but eventually one will pop up and you'll get excited, and BAM you'll go running for it. Alittle an enthusiasm and some dumb luck go along way.
  16. I have 100 plus finds and 0 hides, but my gps is as old as they get. Quite frankly, I'm not confident in it enough to place any. Besides that I come from a small state, Connecticut, and its diffiicult to not be redundant in placing one here. Perhaps those are both convienant excuses, but none the less true. You're right that there is a certain amount of "take take take " going on. But I do as much maintanance as I can on the caches I find, and leave them better hid then I found. And I trash out literally every time I cache. One can contribute to the game without hiding caches if one is a responcible cacher
  17. Touring Vineyards has turned out to be a good way for me get out and do some caching AND spend some quality time with my wife. she has even been a good enough sport to log some finds herself. We did the Connecticut wine trial, which is a series of vineyards across the state and got us to parts we wouldn't normally go, alot caching has.
