  1. you haven't been caching a year yet, and you're pining for 'the good ol' days'? you weren't here for 'the good ol' days'.
  2. try cleaning out your cookies and your browser history.
  3. i think that was the first mass avatar change.
  4. never buy anything sold by a screaming bearded man on TV.
  5. That is funny. Nobody shoots 9mm anymore! wanna bet? no trick or treaters at my house.
  6. well...you can pretty much leave the deet behind. many a cache has been found by poking a walking stick down in the snow. caches make a different thunking sound when a walking stick hits them.
  7. i once scratched my name in a log with a pair of tweezers. a little dirt in the scratches made my name visible.
  8. yep! when the caching gods are on your side it's easy to find a high number of caches in a day.
  9. 35 caches in a day, by a single person, is not uncommon if a trip is well planned.
  10. nope! my warning meter is still a virgin as far as i know.
  11. Thanks, Uper. I needed that. i hope someone pays it soon. these bottles of Cristal champagne are $800.00 each! the dude at the end of the bar won't leave me alone either.
  12. Given the angst of TB owners, and the bad reputation that events seem to have, I think that this is the proper way to go. A pain, to be sure, but the only way to make sure that bugs are logged properly. Yes, the pink flamingo that my sister was sending me was left at an event at a bar. Nobody noticed a pink flamingo sitting in a bar stool?!? Poor flamingo! A little care and concern for TBs left at events would have prevented this. I hate to think the bar tab that the flamingo has run up! i'm sorry, but i had to do something when i got thirsty and now they won't let me leave until i pay the bill. anyone who says events leave a lot of trash has either been to the wrong event or none at all. after the last midwest geobash the grounds were so clean that you couldn't even tell more than 1,000 people had spent the weekend there.
  13. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Just got a call from my much better half, saying that there was a "mysterious manila envelope" in the mail today, and it just so happened to have a GeoCoinBug Coin in it! He was totally unsuspecting, and had no idea that I'd requested anything; THANK YOU so much for the coin! hrrm! i didn't know you could set out bait for these bugs. i'll get right on that.
  14. the first step is memorizing the phrase. "thank-you sir, may i have another".
  15. Could be a changed username, or a team that split. I believe you can enter "retroactive" finds for a new username in cases like this. yeah, but "discovering" TB's in caches in new york, wisconsin, kansas and washington state in the same day is just a tad too much.
  16. if they just joined june 30th of this year, how were they finding caches last year?
  17. geodog was discovering TB's in new york, kansas and washington state all on the same day. his fuel usage must be outrageous.
  18. this geodog person really gets around. they haven't found any caches, but they've discovered TB's in japan, new york, nebraska, and goodness knows where else in the last month. i'm getting a definite whiff of sock.
  19. you'd better hope auntie weasel doesn't see this post.
  20. you must be premium. you posted this in off topic.
