For me, the price of a coin I want to pay depends on how much I want to have it, whether it is activated or not. I activated the coins I want to keep in my collection, so others can discover them. That way the tracking number has use even when the coin is not really traveling (only with me). I also like collecting icons, so I give others the possibility to collect them also from my collection. I hope when I decide to sell my activated coins to find coin lovers who think the same way .

Wauw, what a great packet you have got there. Congratulations. You have a the most great collection Dutch coins I think. You could start a Dutch Geocoin museum

My first geocoin was Happy Caching - Toadstool Geocoin. I put it in a cache in august 2008 and it disappeared. After 3 years GeoGraaffie asked me if he could use the tracking number, as the coin was missing after all. I agreed and transferred the code to him. 5 days later he was contacted by somebody who had the coin. After a few mails and a letter in the post, the coin got home again. Now it's hanging on my wall with the letter with which it came back;

Off topic; I don't think FB is one of those necessary evils these days. It's just an other website with other possibilities. When you don't want to use it, as I do, you just have to live with the consequences. Back to topic I do collect coins but can't keep up with everthing that is being made. I'm happy there are still designers who keep us informed here. Thank you for that. The first coin I send to Mr. Grey's cache is taking it's time. I'm happy it's still in the game, but as it is still on this (Europe) side of the ocean, I thought I could send an other coin. So today I took a suitable coin; Alien Spaceship Geocoin BN , with the hope it will travel to Mr. Grey's cache in order to help him out when he wants to leave earth
