Team Wicket

Hi there, this is Katey, aka Liverbird, of WWPP Team Wicket. I am desperate for some help this weekend. I agreed mothes ago to do a class for Wright County Parks Dept, this Sat' afternoon. In the mean time my youngest, Tessa, has had many health problems. It's something in the thyroid but the doc's can't nail it down. I am stressed to the max over this and more appt's this Saturday with her. I can't do this class. In the worry over Tessa, I'll admit I forgot about it. I have to go to these Dr. appt's with her. Is there anyone that can pick this up? PLEASE? There is no pay, but the parks dept' will supply candy for some mock caches to hide and find. Ok, here I come to save the day.... Oh 3 hours 20 min's late, darn. I forgot I had to take daughter for contacts at exactly the appointed time. Drat! But I see we didn't get close anyway. Rats! Liverbird, WWPP (my 315 was not even close.)

I have a reason not to do it at noon. Perhaps a lot of folks would like to spend the day caching. It is, after all, the only extra day off work for some folks. (Besides x-mas of course. So many might like to go out and use their new Geo-toys. I think an evening time would work better, then we could discuss how the new toys worked or a good cache we found!

There are a few bug motels around Minneapolis St. Paul airport, but the best known is inside the Mall of America. Think how many familys vacationing, stop there on their way in and out of MN. Some folks even fly in just to go to that mall for the weekend. Best of all, you can find it with out a GPS.

I have walmart saving film canisters and they also donated the bags and labels for CITO canisters. I have almost 300 done with a goal of 1,000. Ileave 2 in each Cache I visit. I have tried to get the ok to use the logo. I emailed and they noted recipt of the e-mail with a tracking number, but no reply. I'm I supposed to go some where wih that number? The link in the reply when to FAQ's.

We don't go to ball games because by the time we've pd parking, refreshments, tickets etc multiplied by number in family, it's a $250 event, ditto shows, ditto many events. I borrowed my first GPS take the family out on a fun day for cheep. We are hooked. I can see where the user fee is going from here. Next year the price will go up, then well have to pay for each cache details page we visit. We then it will be a loss for many kids who today get to go out and get fresh air, excersice, a chance to out in nature, and quality time with mom and dad. Many will loose out because it will be a sport for those with money.

I'm a newbie so please forgive if I missed some thing. Is there a page for lost bugs? A data base of the info'? I enjoy finding and sending bugs on their way, if there was a lost bug to find some (me) might go out of their way to help find it if they had info' to start with.
