  1. I recently purchased a Chromebook c720. Is there an easy way to download caches to my gps units or should I continue to use my old Dell laptop with Windows Vista. Seems like the workarounds on the Chromebook are complicated. Thanks.
  2. I logged in to find my caches on the map and they don't show up. No smileys on Mozilla or IE.
  3. Looking for a manual for the Colorado 400 series. The Garmin website won't let me download the manual off their website completely. Any suggestions?
  4. Recently purchased a Dakota 10. I like the touchscreen. The free maps I downloaded from gpsfiledepot work well on it. The only drawback I found on it was the slow movement on the compass arrow and distance, when getting to a cache. My wife is using my old 60Cx. It gets right to a location quickly. Noticed that the Colorado 400i is on sale at Amazon at a good price below $200. Love the paperless geocaching on the Dakota. Any views on either unit.
  5. I scratched the screen on my old Garmin 60Cx unit this weekend whild geocaching. The scratches are slight, but there is also a nick on the screen. What is the best way to remove scratches. Or should I call Garmin about a replacement screen and cost of the screen?
  6. Worst was getting into chiggers. Best was having chigger bites finally dry up.
  7. I have to use advanced search, when using the Mozilla browzer. IE lets me use the homepage zipcode search. Go figure.
  8. A good reason to get out of the house in the midwest. You have to dress for it.
  9. Do some people set their coordinates off a few feet to make their caches more difficult to find? I just had someone thank me for the accuracy of my cache coordinates, when they made the find. Seems dirty to do so.
  10. Hooray! I don't understand the star next to it on the map. Please explain The reviewer has had a lot of patience with me. It has been a process!
  11. We wanted to hide a cache in our local park district. They faxed me a special users permit, to fill out. They said their cache quota was full in our park district, but to fill it out and send it in for review.
  12. We aren't doing the glass containers. I must just order the more traditional micro things off the internet. Walmart carries the plastic loc containers.
  13. Waiting for approval from the man above. Do you remember your first hide?
  14. We are getting ready to hide our first cache. In the regulations,it said something about distance between caches being 528 ft. Is this written in stone? Our first hide would be near another members cache. Does glass hold up under tough conditions? We have some very old glass pill bottles, perfect for hides.
