  1. Can we give them a new goal then?
  2. I got one of the Jeep travel bugs, but unfortunately the contest is over. Does anybody know what will happen to them now? Perhaps the folks at geocaching.com can work something out with Jeep to transfer the ownership to the individuals that have them now, so at least our fun can continue.
  3. Woops, a quick google search turned up a patch ror mapsource and it now will open .gpx files. Thanks for all your help. Trent
  4. I have Google Earth, MapSource, and Microsoft MapPoint, but none of these applications seem to be able to read a .gpx file. Am I going to have to buy another software package to read .gpx files and load stuff on my gps?
  5. Maybe I am doing something wrong, because I only seem to be able to display 1 track. Maybe that is because my tracks are usually far apart, so I just can't see them all at the same time. I am looking a that motionbased site. So far it looks pretty cool. I was able to find some trails at Pisgah. I tried some of the local trails near my house, but they were not there. No big deal because I know them all, it was just a test of content. Maybe I can load some on the site for others.
  6. I am particularly interested in the Pisgah National Forest and Tsali Recreation Area. Both are in Western North Carolina area. With ExpertGPS are you able to turn your tracks into trails and then load your new trail maps into your handheld GPS? Or is it just on the computer?
  7. I have been looking all day for GPS maps for hiking and mountain biking trails. I have used software before that said it had trails, but so far I haven't found any trails that it actually had mapped. Basically I have 2 questions. 1. What software (National Geographic Topo!/ Mapsource Topo) will actually have all the trails from State parks, State forests, National Parks, National forests etc. I want to be able to go hiking and see exactly where I am on the trail, even if I have never been on that trail before. 2. Can I convert my track logs into maps. I have hiked/ridden several of the trails that are close to me and I have track logs for them. The problem is that if I want to see it on the map, I can only see one track log at a time. I want to be able to convert my track log into my own trail map. Can I do that? (I currently use a Garmin Rino 130 and use the Mapsource Roads and Recreation and the Mapsource Metro Guide software). Thanks, Trent
  8. I also own a 120, and have been pretty pleased with its features. When I geocache I use the 120 as well as a seperate compass. It is a little tedious keeping up with two pieces of equipment. Having the electronic compass was big factor in my decision to upgrade to the 130. Thanks for the reply.
  9. Has anyone used the Rino 130? It seems to have a lot of cool features but I have not found very many reviews about it. Anyone have an opinion about it?
