  1. sounds clever, I cant open the video on this workstation requiring another (video) application and going offsite to get the data on the puzzle... personally im not a fan of these methods. im not a cache puzzle fan anyway. on belgian caches of this kind they will give a coordinates verification method. so you are 100% sure you have the CORRECT coordinates BEFORE heading out. of course a big pain in the behind if yer out in the field and need to watch the video or online data.
  2. ask them to mail it to me (offer them payment ofcourse) ill set it off in either Belgium, Germany or Netherlands, your pick.
  3. as for grabbing, ild say check who dropped the TB, tourist or local. if a its a tourist. if no logs are made within a few days its prolly a tourist then i ll wait 2-3weeks or longer if its someone from other continent. its only fair to let that person have credit for the effort of moving it a few 1000kms in one cache move.
  4. US$150? thats not bad, overhere in Belgium it will run up to €150 but the pet will be chipped (ID chip implant) and fully vetted with the accompanying official travel pasport (required to travel around Europe) here its mandatory to chip dogs/cats that are sold. So those €150 would be what it costs you to get it all sorted + vet. The kennels get a discount from the vet and official instances so thats where they make some pocket change, which is usually all spent on petfood. In the local petshops you can regularly deposit petfood for the kennels, you buy it very cheap at the store and deposit ni the trolly. the tins or bags depositted this way are marked with a fat felttip marker. what you could do is buy ASPCA stickers or trinkets and use them as swag, that way you spread the message, support the charity and got somit viable as swag ro signature item.
  5. sell em all, it will pay for more bills ! nobody is going to pay the bills for you. all the best to you! and NO email sent
  6. perhaps a page size or margin setting issue?
  7. very true ... ikea is also a good source for short pencils they are made available free for customers
  8. new batts every day :-) to remove: on the Colorado you lift the bottom of the clip and then slide the whole thing down
  9. ask an experienced cacher to beta test it!
  10. ooo .. mini pliots !!! :-) looking for these today was the closest thing to caching i did today found Pilot, thats commonly found, but not these blumming minis!!! so picked up 4 mini rollerballs, with cap tho ... loosable cap 4 for €1.95
  11. aye!! good news gives hope ! this forum and the coiners can use some good news. excellent!
  12. bloody brilliant! great work
  13. up the terrain rating... LOL good one :-)
  14. I see you have tried very hard to categorize my thread into your neat little group. nope, side product of your interpretation your thread was about hiders feeling the need to lure cachers with prizes and certificates. where i FULLY agree with you : its not "needed", but if some want to spend the dosh or reckon that it NEEDS it for some reason, so be it, their cache, their cash. but it cannot become the norm. the above inspirational quote would be good to end those LPC vs top of the mountain view discussions about the numberwhores vs experience-cachers about the urban vs rural caches about the micro vs regular caches ok? no hard feelings?
  15. wow wow wow!! that's some amazing patisserie! my compliments to the patissier/artist
  16. pencils!! make sure to add a pencil. ink dilates in heat, clogs up in cold ok a pencil goes blunt, so when you see a blunt pencil in a cache and you carry a knife, do some maintenance :-) if there isnt a sharpener with the pencil/logbook at the local ikea store they hand out those short pencils, perfect to place in caches.
  17. inspirational ! that would wrap up many ongoing threads ! this should also be posted on the GC site in the "What's Geocaching?" section. that way when the next thread about "colors and flavors" rears it ugly head it can be chopped off by linking to that quote.
  18. some FTFers and (2tf and 3tf) will delay logging just to let others think they still got a shot at FTF, to attract more people during the first days of publishing.
  19. whats next... dropping logbooks as swag with the first find is already filled in with yer name... beta testers check out/find the "container" (notice i dont use the term cache here yet ) BEFORE it is published. its like a journalist doing a testrun/demonstration run on a race track just before the race, he doesnt claim he won the race does he. overhere in Belgium the beta tester will log online well AFTER the podium, as 4th at the earliest.
  20. ich moei mich nie ba ula zake (met hier en daar een paar accenten) = ik bemoei me niet met jullie zaken maar die "va"..; geen idee
