We do these things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

I think these forums are mostly a useful tool to aid cachers in a wide range of topics, but lately, I am seeing the discussions degenerate into back & forth petty sniping between and amongst the most prolific posters. I used to take the opinions of these posters with high regard, however, I have now come to the conclude that they just like to exercise their argumentative skills, sadly, to the distraction of the original topic that was posted. If you have something useful to add, or want to express your opinion regarding the original post, then by all means do so, and we will all know where you stand on the issue. To continue to fight for your point of view on the matter belies your own belief in the integrity of your point of view, and exposes an insecurity you should struggle with somewhere else.

I think you deserve to see all the caches too, and if you are finding more that 10 of them a month you should pony up the 30 bucks.

Your knowledge of their behavior is all you really need to know.

When you hide a cache, wether it's a multi, a regular, a micro, or whatever, you should always consider the time and effort it takes for the cache seeker to complete the mission and at the very least, reward them with SOMETHING for THEIR efforts. Something in the way of a nice vista from the area of the hide, or a good hike in a beautiful natural unspoiled area, or a little know, or well know, tidbit of local/significant/arcane/quirky history, etc,,, but for crying out loud,, do something that will have me thinking that I was glad to have made a visit, and would recommend it to others. Otherwise, what have you really done for anyone,,,but yourself?

You should consider that there is always more than one way to skin a cat. I can imagine someone will be bold enough to just pull over, put the flashers on and have a go at it, and then log it on line like it was a bear to get to. Unless a drunk driver wipes them out and they join the nuns.

Unless there is an unusually tremendous pile of road kill animals, or a car filled with nuns that went off the road five years ago and nobody knows about it but you, why would you want to place a cache there to begin with ?

I just noticed that there is a NEEDS MAINTENANCE attribute that you can add to your own cache page. Does this make any sense to any of you ? If your cache "NEEDS MAINTENANCE" shouldn't you be the one to do it ?
