  1. If you are really good with a map and compass it is possible, I've done a couple of caches sans GPSr. It was not easy but it was alot of fun!

  3. If I am not sore after a good day of cachin' then something is definitely wrong. I look to mother nature to ease my discomfort! There are many "natural" remedies out there.
  4. Actually all you need is the tag # to find a bug. Once at the web page you can read the TB's mission and see what it is called. I still put a laminated TB passport with each one.
  5. Started mine 3 weeks ago,did not go back and log it into all my previous caches as it would take too much time,I have almost 300 finds. I do the first method.
  6. When hidding a micro in a parking lot you should:(Choose all that apply) A) get permission first B)Make sure lots of people see you lurking around planting it C) Be discreet D) Jump up and down yelling "Look at me, look at me" And yes C is a correct answer!

  9. I've done basically the same thing with Streets and Trips and st2gpx to get the coordinates for the arc filter (used in GSAK) The filters can be saved for future use as you suggest. What program is that?
  10. Yea pop on over to Pa, We have lotso nice caches. Most of the ones I've done in philly have been creative and or educational.
  11. Been caching almost a year have cached some in canada,have 300 finds. No international though.
  12. I use an hp with a Pocketpc os. It connection with active sync I can just drag and drop all I need for caching. Maps,and cache pages. I use gsak to spin out the files I need. I have 8MB of memory and it serves well for maps,I use Microsoft streeets and trips, mapsource, and NG topo.

  18. Thank god I'm not the only one whose vehicle is totally caching equipt! I'll take a pic tommorow and post it.
  19. Just bought the ultimate gps holder and with little modification it should be fantastic. I am removing the front mesh and putting a pocket big enough for my gps. I use the other small pouch for my pda and the large pouch for trade items. This so beats carrying a pack when it is not needed!

  21. Web site was very slow all weekend- Monday aftern0on....No errors. just don't log your finds until Monday or Tuesday when the servers aren't overloaded. Yes it is a pain, but alot less frustrating.
  22. I just released the Bug Blatter Beast of trall TB and will be releasing a couple of other Hichiker TB's at the picnic in Delaware next Sunday. I have as part of the BUG TB's mission to visit some of the more frequent posters to this thread. you can go here to see him BUG BUG. I see he is in a cache less than a mile from my house maybe I'll grab him and bring him to the picnic too!
