  1. This is also how we feel & what we do. The 'discovery' option would mean more time at a cache to write down the numbers... thus the possiblity of muggles seeing you the longer you are at the location. Probably some people like to do it just to add more numbers to their TB list, or icons in the case of GCs. Another personal preference.
  2. Was your 1st idea... a bandana that you will wear, or leave in caches to travel?
  3. I agree with BlueDeuce... give it some more time. The 1st (and only) TB we ever released went missing after traveling only 3 miles. It will be a year in October. Next month we will use the replacement tag & try it again.
  4. It won't show up until it is published.

    Nano caches

IMO... no. When I see a cache listed as a 'micro' I automatically assume it could be as small as a nano. Listing a nano as 'other'... I disagree with though. The only time we have used 'other' on one of our caches is where a small container was hidden in a large stump we hollowed out. Small would have been misleading. We wrote on the cache page... "the size is a surprise". No one has had any problem finding it, nor have we received any complaints.
  6. I have no idea what you are talking about. I think there should be a prize for whoever is able to guess what his next avatar will be.
  7. Back in May we bought the same unit from Amazon for $295.50 & received it in 8 days. (just looked at our account) I think I must've tracked the delivery at least 3 times a day. It seemed like forever! Hang in there... it's on the way!
  8. Yes, there are negative aspects of trackables you will hear about, but at the same time there are many great success stories about them meeting goals & traveling around the world. Not all trackables are a pain. Do not be discouraged... pick one up & move it along!
  9. Yes, unfortunately it's something that you will often see these days. There's nothing you can really do, but help out by making note on the cache page & on the trackable listing that it is not in the cache anymore.
  10. Umm... did you already change it? I thought it was a circle with 'true blue' in the middle. Or maybe I'm just imagining things. If you are having a problem seeing avatars it usually helps if you clear the cache on your internet browser. Ha! It changed again. I'm not imagining things, nor is my browser.

  12. Gosh, I never even thought about looking for them on semis. Now that it was mentioned I'll be looking at every one that passes me by on the interstate!
  13. I'm only 5' short & one day when I was out caching without the rest of the family I came across a cache I couldn't reach. Even if did manage to knock it down with something I knew I wouldn't be able to place it back in its hiding spot. Just before driving off I remembered the lawn chairs we store in the back of the geo-mobile. Got the cache! After that experience we now have a short ladder we keep in our vehicle... you never know when you might need a boost! Hide your cache... rate it correctly & watch the online logs come in.
  14. Yep, if you can't find a cache... log a DNF. It helps everyone involved. Ain't no shame!
  15. Cruiserdude II - which we purchased from the E place & released out into the geo-world.
  16. Off topic @ BlueDeuce... Your avatar today now has that Madonna song stuck in my head.
  17. Thankfully, we never received any negative messages concerning trackables. We all want to see our bugs move, but some cachers go way overboard. After you release a trackable... it turns into a game of chance.
  18. Congrats... that is awesome! So mysterious, but I'd be happy I wouldn't even question it!
  19. We never use the 'discover' feature for any trackables we don't pick up. Obviously something which is based on people's preference.
  20. Good guess! Looks like it's matches!
  21. This would be perfect for our Scottie! Red is his favorite color... he told me.
  22. It's missing a stick of butter in its hand. Very cool looking coin!
