  1. Made me think of the Spirograph child's toy as well. Like the Kaleidoscope thought too. Also thought of the 3D Magic Eye images. They kind of look like an eye with the pupil in the center. Here are a few suggestions. 1) SpiroKaleidoGraphiScope 2) Magic Spiro Eye 3) Spiroeyes 4) Kaleidoeyes 5) Kaleidoscopic Eye (or Eyes, plural) These are just my thoughts, but cool coin design and concept. What will the reverse side look like?
  2. 28 please. Thank you for the cointest!

  5. Just happened to think, "whatever happened with this cointest?" and come back to see. Congrats to Doc A! And thanks for the fun cointest.
  6. ^ ^ ^ Yeah what she said!
  7. Please fix the link, so others may view it correctly. You have http://http:// at the beginning and one needs to be removed. To answer your question though, according to the page link, they are trackable. They also have a tracking number and have an icon. If you view the larger image, you can see the tracking number blotted out. The geocaching trackable icon found for use associated with this coin is
  8. Like this idea!! Would be MUCH better to have a count listed on the page instead of having to read through all the logs to count numbers. Can you make this one happen, OH PTB! PLEASE
  9. Hello Lars, As the treasurer of the Greater Charlotte Geocaching Club, I feel like I may be able to help. You may want to visit our website www.charlottegeocaching.com and visit the thread for our "CHARLOTTE'S "CAN'T MISS" HIDES". You will have to register to actually see the forums and the huge list of caches, but registration is free. This was a survey we conducted earlier this year of the best hides in the Charlotte area. There are over 80 caches on the list in different categories. I'm sure you will enjoy several of those. If you go to our site and start your own thread like you did here, I guarantee there will be a few that would love to join you on a cache run and/or show you around some of those listed caches. It's too bad that you won't be here two days longer because we are having our BIG SPRING BLAST events on May 22nd, The GCGC Storms Martha's Castle and The GCGC Sweeps Martha's Castle. We had two cachers who were in Charlotte from Germany attend last years spring events. We would be honored if you would be able to attend this year. Right now, my plans are to attend the same WWFM event you listed as well as the Scouting for Service CITO — Mecklenburg Co Council so if you want to add a CITO event to your plans as well, please do. These two events are not sponsored by the GCGC, but they are hosted by a member of the GCGC. Hope this information helps, Robert (Harwell5)
  10. Thank you very much! LOL! []

  12. Email sent. Thank you for this awesome cointest. Had fun finding the answers.
  13. I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but would like to ask for a feature. If it is already possible, someone please direct me as to how. I would like to be able to copy a bookmark from someone else and make it a bookmark of my own without having to create a bookmark, going to all the caches and adding them individually to the bookmark. Is there a way to add a "Copy this bookmark" link so that the list can be put in a BM for myself, so I wouldn't have to reference someones else's BM and I could add specific notes to the cache listings? Thank you, H5
  14. Now Raccoon's are a good possibility. We have evidence around here that our cache's have been destoyed by Raccoon's. Coyote's are another possibility. The jury's still out on the AAM's.
  15. Three inch black PVC pipe with glued end cap, wing-nut pressure fitting for water tight seal, top cap with combination lock, hanging from a support nut. Possible, but I doubt any animal around here would be able to break it into pieces. As for muggles in the area, this place is remote, well off the barely used road/trail, down hill and facing way from the road/trail, facing toward open water with brush/sapplings in the way. Muggles possibly, but I think it had to be some one looking for it. I take "here" meaning KY as your profile suggests. If the container was TUBAR"d (Torn up beyond all recognition), then I would assume it was an animal before anything else. I'm sure there are bears in KY and your container could sustain major damage from an animal like that with a biting force of up to 1200psi. Don't assume that it was a person just because you think your container is "indestructable". We have containers around here (NC) that get attacked by animals on occassion. If there is something edible left in a container (which some cachers unfortunatly do leave), a lot of animals will try endlessly to get into it. Same thing goes for hands that may have recently handled food before touching a cache contatiner. I would assume an animal first unless there is proof otherwise. Just my humble opinion though.
  16. This is still rendering the same for me today. Shows as "Edit this trackable item", but the link associated adds it to my watchlist. Get that Hampster to turn that wheel just a wee bit faster.
  17. Ok I found something odd and maybe someone can explain it. Noticed that when I have the window expanded to full screen (I use a laptop with a 17" monitor 1920x1200 resolution), the column is lowered as in the above picture, BUT when I have it less than full screen, the comlumn is in the correct position aligned along the top. Haven't paid attention to this in the past, but it is very odd. Can't change the resolution to anything less. Any thoughts?
  18. I use two browsers. Chrome works fine, no problems with it. The problem lies in IE. Using Windows XP Prof. SP3, IE7 version 7.0.5730.13
  19. Just wondering if this is a bug or specific to me. The right side column seems to load lower onto the page and not directly beside the information as it did. It is occuring on all pages for my profile that contain a right side column. See image below. I thought it would go away after a while since the new update, but it hasn't. I know there is an update coming on Tuesday. Don't know if it will fix this or not, so I'm still hoping for an answer. Am I the only one this is happening to?
  20. Anybody here use cacheberry for their BB and have PQ's sent to email as a zip? And if you do, are your zip files downloading to your BB? Since the new change over, I haven't been able to download the zip files onto my BB. Before the change, I had no issues and the download was fine. Granted I can have the PQ's sent unzipped, which sends two files that I can download, but that is more time consuiming than just the one zipped file. Anyone else having issues with zipped PQ's?
  21. I say turn it into an event cache and have people come from all over. Will need to specify on the cache page that presents are NOT required, but that it would be a birthday party event for your son. Find out from your reviewer the best way to approach it. I'm sure you will have cachers come. It's a great way to meet others like us.
  22. Might be fair to see your correspondence. Doesn't sound like this reply was the result of a friendly and innocuous reminder that GZ was off by a bit and you're willing to help in any way you can. I tend to agree with DW, Show the ENTIRE correspondence and then maybe you will get a response. Not really sure what you are looking for here. Are you looking for support for your hurt feelings? Or are you looking for someone on here to say "bad, CO, bad"? Do you have a question or are you just venting? Sounds like you just want sympathy for what you did without us knowing the full text of the conversation leaving nothing out.
  23. HERE is the link for my H5's D/T Bingo Challenge
  24. Can't post the webpage link from work and can't get the GC code (geocaching.com is blocked), but I have a Bingo Challenge cache that only requires 9 finds. Do a quick search for H5's D/T Bingo Challenge (in NC). I didn't have any problems getting it published and it was bounced around to a few reviewers to look it over. This was right at the same time when the new guideline for ALR's were changed. A couple minor things had to be reworded, but no big issue. Maybe it can give you some ideas. Will try to post a link later after I get home, if someone doesn't beat me to it. There are several different variations of a bingo challenge cache, but for your idea though, I don't see any problems with what you are thinking to do. Find a cache near a waterfall, cemetery, waterwheel, etc. Sounds like a new approach. I haven't seen or run across another one like it. Hope this helps.
