  1. There is a similar picture floating around rumored to be one of AvroAir's body cavity searches at the hands of local authorities. Come on, Mark, it's been a good 6 months since a body cavity search reference, hasn't it?
  2. After reaching my conclusion on who the FTF cacher is likely to be I have a suggestion for the FTF prize - how about a commemorative Charles & Camilla wedding plate?
  3. Way to go, Harts. Smart to play it off like it never happened... looks so real... hmmmm.
  4. I don't care what Brian's avitar says.
  5. New Jersey is the world's leading grower of eggplant. Maybe the coin could have a giant eggplant. Nothing screams excitement quite like eggplant.
  6. Beware of the AVRO people... They have been frisked by the police more than Michael Jackson. There are credible rumors the INS is investigating the organization. The entire membership will be traveling to England for the upcoming Charles/Camilla wedding. Hmmmmm..... Judging by the statistics, the entire organization may soon be classified as 'Locationless' or 'Virtual'.
  7. Congratulations. Here at TBB headquarters we are big fans of Barney, too.
  8. Does anyone know who the 'Mark Clemens' is who's quoted at the bottom of AvroAir's posts? He seems like pure genius.
  9. We left our first GPS unit on the ground near one of AvroAir's Verona Park caches (now archived). We realized we had left it no more than 10 minutes later and returned to the site - it was gone. We thought we would be out of caching for a while but then the addiction took over and we were at Best Buy within days buying a replacement. Our GPS is now rarely unclipped from one of us. Sorry to hear it, though. It's not a good feeling. Chances are pretty good that whoever has it doesn't even know what it is.
  10. My brother is BMSquared and he lives in Mahwah. I live in Lincoln Park, about 45 minutes away. I thought it would be really funny to put a cache as close to his home as possible so it pops up first on his 'closest to' page. After visiting them one day I drove by the perfect little park mere blocks from his home. A few days later I returned, cache in hand, to do the deed. I wandered the park for 30 minutes or so and scouted a few locations. Then I found it... the gazebo. While searching for the right spot under the gazebo where my cache could not be spotted from any reasonable angle my hand bumped into a small container - a film canister actually. This was obviously an intentional placement but I knew there were no caches in the park. I grabbed the container and it looked real familiar, it was a container my dear brother had swiped from me the week before. The plot was thickening so I called him and came clean with my plans and my subsequent discovery. It turns out I had stumbled on a stage of his yet-to-be-approved Here, There, Avroair cache. I settled for another park a little farther away to place Johnny 99. What are the odds?
  11. I watched plenty of episodes and I don't recall Helmut from the Jeffersons.
  12. Who says he's not in the dog house? I'm betting he's been in the dog house plenty. As a matter of fact I would say most of us have been in the dog house courtesy of GC.com a time or two.
  13. From our vacation in Wiscassett, Maine... and a cache called 'under the flight path'
  14. We would absolutely love to do this but... TBB#4 will be arriving around that time (TBB#2 is due in the first week of April). She's enormous already and we're going to have to decline. She's a trooper but I mean it - she's huge! Also, once she reads this I will need approximately 8-10 weeks before the casts can be removed. Have a blast - with AvroAir's events you can be sure of it (even if he does talk funny).
  15. We loved Helispot. I would love to see someone bring Cindy to this cache.
  16. I nominate BMSquared as an oversized Geocacher and submit the following evidence:
  17. Did you ever run into a situation where you were presented with so many joke ideas that you were simply overwhelmed? Yep.
  18. OK, (being honest) I just skimmed over most of the previous posts but I have to put in a vote for Avroair's Africa Loop. Harriman is a great place to hike and holds many childhood memories for me - we spent many summer weekends at the Masonic camp near the Africa Loop. You could throw a dart into a map of Harriman and find a nice place to hike - most caches are probably good ones in this region. BMSquared is right, One Particular Harbour is a good one. It requires a boat and was placed in the beginning of the fall this past year so it didn't get a whole lot of fanfare when placed but if you enjoy canoeing/kayaking this should be on your 'to do list' come warmer weather.
  19. For the record, I don't think BMSquared is ugly... it's more of a 'looks impediment'
  20. I live in Brian's backyard. Not literally, of course, but I live in Morris County also.
  21. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU CAN PACK UP AND GO BACK TO YOUR OWN dadgum COUNTRY!... Oh, sorry... Did I write that out loud?
  22. You know, this whole idea about "let's not give people any ideas" gives me the impression the Geocaching community spends far too much time looking over it's shoulder. Allow me to state this: If people are intent on pissing you off, they will. They will not need hints or suggestions. People are all too capable of irritating one another if they should choose to do so. There are both established rules of Geocaching and unwritten ones. The unwritten ones tend to be common sense type rules. People new to Geocaching may not understand some of the unwritten rules but the majority of people active in these forums have a pretty good understanding of Geocaching. Do you really think JR is going to get the idea to muggle a cache from an obvious joke posted in the forums? Come on. These forums are a great opportunity to discuss the activity we all share an interest in but if I wanted a risk-management debate I would go to work. These discussions should be (and usually are) fun. My 'dumb idea' was not an idea... it was a joke. I thought that was obvious and would not cause people to flock to the woods intent on muggling caches.
  23. Yeah, like if the container for 'Bluehook 11' suddenly turned up on the Hilltop as 'Live Rust #3'
