  1. It's probably worth the trip over to New Jersey for the higher quality of the caches. But there are probably some great guard rail micros just waiting to be found on the island. Enjoy your trip.
  2. Team Bam Bam

    FYI

Our cache, Oliver's Army, was found by Packanack last week. He found it but couldn't get to it because it was floating in a debris field created by serious flooding upstream of an Army Corps of Engineers project. I pulled the cache on friday in anticipation of this weekend's weather. I suspect the area is much worse now.
  3. and as Billy Joel almost wrote: "They sent a carrier out from Norfolk- And picked the Mets fans up for free. They said that Queens could stay, They blew the Bronx away- and sank Manhattan out at sea"
  4. Congratulations to them. This can be a fantastic family activity (as I'm sure you've heard from someone 'in the know')
  5. Welcome. TBB#3 has a pet frog so he feels like he practically already knows you. Hope to see you on the trails soon.
  6. Congratualtions from the whole team.
  7. Have you completed GeoKender's Scrat's Stash 1 and Scrat's Stash II? I'm not sure about epic but they are challenging and will give you more of a run for your money than your typical 1.5/1.5 in north jersey. They both use the Saddle River County Park system.
  8. OK, I'm thinking this is very wrong but... we picked up a travel bug last week and when Amy went into labor on Wednesday night I thought "this would be a great photo-op for a travel bug": How bad is this?
  9. ...and remain comfortably ahead of BMSquared - as usual. Thanks to all of you for the positive wishes. Mother & child are doing fine. Dad is still listed as 'questionable' Here is a picture of the new-look Team Bam Bam:
  10. Oh yeah... it's not in NE NJ but it's just across the PA border - Columcille The cache is pretty simple but the park is very impressive.
  11. How about a little tribute to the residents of Ringwood: "Ford was here"
  12. We live in Morris County. You are lucky to be in an area of the country containing some of the most prolific cache-hiders in the world so get out there and enjoy them. This area also provides a wide variety of cache types so read the posts carefully to decide whether to bring bug spray or mace. Hope you find it as enjoyable as we have in our time in the sport.
  13. The Cascade George Washington's Stairmaster Smokey's Wallow Tripod Rock Devil's Hole Lake Sonoma The Passaic Hideaway Helispot These are some of our favorites.
  14. From a fall visit to High Mountain:
  15. 3 for Team Bam Bam. Hello to my Niner fan amigo!
  16. Sounds like y'all had a great weekend. Wish we could have made it.
  17. Just wanted to point out that Briansnat has over 12,000 forum posts. Sure has an awfull lot to say, doesn't he? Every post a pearl, of course.
  18. As a serious design idea... how about a classic-style diner. Nobody does those like Jersey.
  19. Actually China is, but an eggplant would look nice on the coin. I never like to let facts get in the way of a good story.
  20. Oh that is completely offfensive!!! Is there a cache located somewhere in there? Are you guys having a CITO event (preferably near the Earth cache). forget the event... i think there's a geocacher in there! GK: What time was this one 'handled'?
  21. Great job to the whole team. I'm looking at 1/2 of a Howmedica knee replacement hardware set as I write this. Thanks.
