  1. I think it's a bobby asking a cacher why she was "squatting" behind the fountain with a piece of paper in her hand!
  2. Your aircraft silhouette puzzle looks fairly easy. I like it and would have logged it quickly if I lived in the area.
  3. This is actually true! I received a email early on in my short geocaching career stating I was behind on a 1000 find average for a 12 month period and that I better get busy. This summer I'm starting to fall behind again and I'm afraid that I'll receive my punishment for not fulfilling my contractual agreement with Jeremy and The Lackeys.
  4. Pathtags. Haven't found many but they bring a big smile when I do.
  5. Just the Thermos. Nothing more. Nothing less. That depends very much on what's in the thermos. Preferably something 80 proof. And a towel, of course. Never forget the towel. Or a moist towelette will work in a pinch A moist towlette will never substitute when trying to prevent a wet spot. You know, like when you accidentally get wet while caching and want to protect your car seat. ( I laughed)
  6. Half as far and only a little over 900 miles (16 hr.). Next year might be doable for as. 2012 might be even closer though. How about smack dab in the middle in 2012??
  7. I don't remember that being in place after the prior update but I'm glad to see it is an option to find nearby caches now. The map is all that I could ask for now. Thanks GS!
  8. Yes... it also takes twice as long to get places on trips for us but we don't feel the "road lag" as much either thanks to the frequent stops on the way. I'd much rather stop for caches than arrive beat to death from driving straight though with no stops. Thanks geocaching for coming into our lives.
  9. Sorry I'm late. Pass this down would ya...
  10. I say switch the maps. Put the GC.com Google map back below and add the new map to the left.
  11. I think I have read how to find out who has visited your cache page but have forgot. How is this done? Its a feature of a "Members Only" cache... IC... thanks. Non of my caches are MOs so I guess that's way I haven't been able to figure it out.

  13. Very cool. Just need to be careful where you hide it. Under a lamp post??
  14. I know I couldn't do it. When on family trips and I see a cache pop up on my Nuvi my wife has to grab the steering wheel to stop me from veering in it direction.
  15. I leave pathtags if they will fit (35mm or pill bottles).
  16. Proper spelling is much more improtant than grammar. A cleaver hide could equate to a hatchet job!
  17. I think your original cache title and description was a great idea! I say change it back and to those who don't like it. Clever in by book.
  18. I've made many of there but a little different. To make sure mine were water tight I bought rubber "O" rings that fit around the mouth and then screwed the lid on.
  19. I guess I didn't see that. So this cache is in violation of the guidelines as stated on the GC.com website. Now what to do??
  20. Here's one for ya. There is a puzzle cache in my area that was set out in September of '09 all in good fun to frustrate a fellow cacher. The cache has become a wild goose chase of sorts. Myself and a few others have been wrangled in to help solve/find/partake in the adventure. Here is where a problem lies, I believe, and could be a guideline violation but can't seem to pin it down. Is there a guideline the states that when it comes to puzzle caches that all the pieces to the puzzle have to be in place and obtainable before submission? To me, it should be a no-brainer that all puzzle pieces should be in place before cache submission, but I cannot find where that is stated in the guidelines. All I could find is: This says nothing about components to puzzles. I believe that the final cache w/log is there ready to be found but there's an unknown number of TB(s) that haven't been released yet that give clues to the final. This means not all pieces to the puzzle are in place to solve/find the cache.
  21. I consider my PTs a signature item and are free for the taking trade or no trade.
