  1. I totally agree. If that ever happens (geez I hope it doesn't) that is going to be just devastating for Geocaching. People just really need to use common sense.
  2. Ewwwwww - can I have the tracking number of the coin so I can put it on my "requires gloves" list...... I can assure you that I washed it very thoroughly indeed! In fact, it's now probably the cleanest Geocoin in the world. It was in a plastic wallet and has avoided the brunt of the horror. I nearly got rid of it with the rest of the cache contents but thought that would be unfair to the owner, so I salvaged it. Lee That was super nice of you. That is terrible someone would do that to your cache.
  3. Thank you for your answer, at least I know that I didn't screw up the options somehow. I am a little bit computer illiterate when it comes to this sort of stuff. I have no idea what providing an Explorist path means? Thanks. Ummm, I think that Magellan accepts .gpx files? I think I saw that on the info page. It is supposed to work with Magellan.
  4. OK I became a premium member yay So I made a pocket query, it got sent to Easy GPS via a zip file and now I am stuck... you know how in the drop down menu there is the option to pick your receiver. From there you should be able to choose between how you connect, USB, memory card, port etc. Well this thing will not let me choose send via USB. It is saying memory card or nothing. I have a magellan 210 explorist. I mean heck it comes with the cord, so why it is being this way. My goodness this has been the never ending journey. I really, really appreciate any help. I cannot find anything that would help me in the "help menu" on Easy GPS. It simply says, hey pick USB. Thanks
  5. Thank you. When I downloaded the file last time I tried, I got what looked like a notepad text file. I saved it and from there I am lost. I plugged in my GPS and I couldn't figure it out from there. Is there a step in between to get to the Geocache manager? As in to get the file to the GPS? I feel so technologically deficient right now. :S I will for sure upgrade my membership! Thanks
  6. Hello all, this is my first post. I am new to Geocaching and I have a Magellan Explorist 210. I have glanced through the instructions, and I have the Mapsend software that comes with it. I also downloaded the Magellan Cache software off Geocaching.com's website that is supposed to allow you to transfer the info to your handheld. Where I am lost is how do you get it off your computer onto your handheld. I know i probably sound really dense right now, but I cannot for the life of my figure it out. When I hook my GPS to the usb I cannot find anything that would allow you to transfer the file onto the unit. Any help would be awesome, I would love to go paperless. Thanks
