  1. How do I add additional waypoints to my submission on the cache Submission Page. I want to suggest a couple of safe parking spots. thxs
  2. I agree, Being new to caching if I listened to all the #$%$# about newbie mistakes, I'd be afraid to hide a cache. I am going to anyway. These Complainers (EXPERIENCED CACHERS????) must remember they were newbies at one time. Unless they are perfect, and I doubt it", I suggest they may have made an error along the way. Relax. Enjoy the ride. Remember "this life thing is only temporary"
  3. Great collection! But personally I am a little leary about using potentially dangerous items as Cache containers. i.e. electrical boxes, etc.
  4. Just listed to the 6:00 news. Seems our Premier Mr McQunity is considering banning the use of cell phones, PDAs, etc. in your car -(I'm in full agreement.) BUT: He is also hinting at outlawing the use of a GPS in your car. What do you think??
  5. Can I using Geocaching.com or GSAK and choose the specific caches I want on my map. I would like to plot 5 particular caches on a map for a day trip but when I choose the area from the northmost to the southmost there are a couple of hundred. Thought I might do this via Pocket Query but can't quite figure it out. any help would be appreciated. thxs

  10. Is anyone using the mirror attachement- We've been using it when we are parked in a remote area and will be away from the car for an extended period of time. It's available at Geocacher-u.com if you are interested. http://geocacher-u.com/content/blogcategory/69/90/
  11. How do you post a picture. "you must enter URL" but where??
  12. Change is good. No real problem. Would like to see "Dist from home Coords" on the printable version of the cache page though. We use the distances to plan our day runs. thxs.

  15. Hello from Ontario Canada. My wife and I are new ourselves. We live on the Niagara Escarpment with numerous hiking trails and caching is giving us another reason to check them out and yes work on those extra pounds. Welcome aboard-have fun!
  16. Already posted a question, but I should introduce myself. I'm an Northern boy (Born and raised in Northern Ontarion Canada). My wife and I moved to Southern Ont when we retired. Enjoy: Golf, hiking, biking. Spent a lot of time in the woods hunting and prospecting. Geocaching seems to incompass these items. Golf: I spend a lot of time looking in the bush for my ball! Hiking: Hiking through new areas looking for caches Biking: there are a number of caches in the area that are bike accessible. Looking forward to finding many interesting caches and maybe placing a few of my own
  17. Thanks that is basically what I thought. I'll now do some thinking re: location, name etc.
  18. I've been lurking for awhile and noticed there is some discussion now and then regarding coord accuracy. Just found my first 3 caches and am hooked. I'm slowly working up to placing my own cache and obviously I want the coords to be as accurate as possible. I'm using an etrex venture Cx. What is the best method to ensure accuracy - Does this envolve the "averaging" mode? Do I leave my unit at the location for a specific period of time? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
