  1. I ordered the "Garmin City Navigator North America NT DVD 2009" for my etrex vista HCx. I have a 2GB card in the vista. Not being familiar with Navigator or how it works is a 2GB card going to be sufficient?
  2. Looking for maps for my Etrex Vista HVx. with Canada and USA , Is "City Navigator NT". If so I have a couple of Questions. a) what does NT stand for? What's the difference between the full disk for my lap top and the micro that fits into the unit? Hate to blow $100 on the wrong item. thxs
  3. Made my own. -A piece of metal stripping (the type with holes used to hang water piping etc. ) -An old belt or small piec of leather - 2 hose clamps - a Garmin universal black clip-(available thru GpsCity) Bend the piece of metal in the shape of a top hat, Attach the small piece of belt(to give it some thickness) and attach the two flanges to your handle bars using the hose clamps. The Garmin clip hooks on the the holder in the same manner it would hook on to your belt. Made 2 one for the wife and one for myself - they work great. and cheap$$$
  4. Getting a number of 'Caches Along Route' that I no longer need. How do I delete them?
  5. Go to search, input the coords of concern and set the search area to 0.10 mi. This will show all the caches within the control range, if any. The only weekness would be a multi-cache.
  6. Check your text size in your bowser. In explorer it's "VIEW>TEST SIZE" If you have a large text size it will some times mess things up.
  7. Good Show! We'll be waiting with a worm on our tongue, (baited breath). Thxs for the reply

  11. Aswered my own Question: eTrex Vista Cx Version #: Main Menu, Setup, System, Menu button(bottom left), Software Version
  12. This is a dedicated unit and only handles courses supplied by this company. I have a SkyCaddie and must download my courses to the SkyCaddie from the SkyGolf site.
  13. Where do I find the Software Version on my Vista HCx??
  14. Have two packs a fanny pack and a haversack, the choice depends how far we intend to travel. No heat! The heaviest item we carry is water- trying to lessen the weight by finding "Dehydrated Water" (I'm sure someone will try and market something like this [remember the Pet Rock]). It would be much lighter and all you have to do is add some H2O when you want a drink
  15. Started with a deal on a the "Etrex Venture Cx", no longer in production under $90. It worked great, but this time of year with the heavy foliage it was losing contact with the sats deeper into the bush. Upgraded to the "Etrex Vista HCx", it also has a compass and a few other bells and whistles. Enjoying it.
  16. We have the nuvi 260. Basic,Simple, Accurate and a clear voice. Except now I have 2 women telling me were to go. We love it.
  17. GPS Comparison This any good?? Good stuff- this gives a format and a base to start. thanks
  18. Thinking of upgrading Has anyone made up a GPSr database in excel or equivalent of available units? I know Garmin has a comparison chart. But was wondering if some one has done the leg work before I start my research. Don't want to reinvent the wheel.
  19. Here you go. http://cacheopedia.com/wiki/Bison_Tube
  20. We hid our first Cache after only a couple of finds. Made and error on the coords logged a correction comment. We all learn by experience. Think it out. Give it a try. Admit and correct any errors. Challenge the other Geocachers! You'll be wiser for it.
  21. Agree I think "Archive" means "Delete"
  22. You can make more then one data base for different scenerios or you can make and save a filter to do this. Assuming I understood the question.
