I assume you're in the U.S.A. You would be an unlicensed station. Here is thier FAQ: Low Power Broadcast Radio Stations Transmitting on Ham (amateur) radio frequencies requires a license from the FCC.

Én valamivel nem vagyok tisztában: Hogyan kerül a találat a gc.com-ra a .hu-ról? Ha valaki bejelent egy találatot a .hu-n akkor van ott egy rubrika amit be kell jelölni ami automatikusan bejelenti a találatot a gc.com-on? Ha igen, akkor csak annyit kéne kérni a gc.hu programozójától, hogy törölje ezt az opciót. Ez nagyon csökkentené a félreveztő "Found It" logokat. (Sajnos nem tudom kipróbálni a gc.hu megtalálási folyamatot jelszó nélkül.)

Admittedly there are still many geocaching.com listings that were simply copied over from geocaching.hu (gc.hu) and were not updated when changes were made to the gc.hu website. The "Found It" logs can be very misleading as many of them are generated by a simple "click-through" from gc.hu. The situation is getting better, but it requires us to post "Needs Archived" logs to any gc.com listing that is incorrect as the Association of Hungarian Geocaching doesn't seem to be interested in trying to help fix this problem. Meanwhile, you can double check the gc.hu website, but be careful because a lot of the listings there are "virutal" where you are looking for a password (a word or a number on a particular building or other object)and there is no actual "box" hidden. Also, the Hungarian they use can be very hard to understand if you are not proficient in the language. The reason why Hungary has so few caches is because a lot of players only play on gc.hu and the Association of Hungarian Geocaching has a very strict policy about listing new caches. There is a committee of volunteers (moderators) that approves new caches. The guidelines are very strict and many users simply decide not to hide any because of the hassle. If you find a gc.com listing that is obviously just a copy of the gc.hu one and is not where the coordinates point to please don't be shy and post "Needs Archived" and help clean up this mess.

A Road 55 reshing place megoldódott. Geolens archíválta. Én küldtem egy e-mail pár hete a Pupsino címére ezzel kapcsolatban, de nem válaszolt. Talán továbbította Geolens-nek.

Csákvári Vadászkápolna is megoldódott. A tulaj egy e-mail után frisítette a koordinátákat a .com-on.

A Törley-mauzóleum gazdájával felvettem a kapcsolatot, sajnos neki nem áll módjában a .com-on módosítani, ezért beírtam egy "Needs Archived" logot: GCY8XG

Ezzel messzemenően egyetértek, és köszönöm hogy kapcsolatba léptél pupSino-val. Aki tényleg a tulajdonos a .com-on is kap majd egy értesítőt az archiválásról és léphet. Ahol a tulaj meg már nem játszik, az a láda eltűnik, és a .hu-s tulajdonos felteheti a .com-ra ha akarja. Ha meg nem akarja, úgy is jó.

Ezzel egyetértek. Ha a láda nincs a megadott koordinátán akkor az nincs ott. Én külföldön élek és nincs sok magyarországi találásom, de sok olyan ládával találkoztam ami nincs a "helyén". A másik meg az az, hogy külföldieknek általában nincs internetük az erdőben hogy megnézzék az utolsó tíz logot, vagy felhívják a rejtőt. Én átfésülöm a megtalálásaimat és nem leszek szégyenlős...

Szerintem valamit tenni kéne azokkal a ládákkal amik máshol vannak a két felületen és gyakorlatilag nincs tulajuk a geocaching.com-on aki át tudná írni a koordinátákat. A legegyszerűbb megoldás az az, hogy ha ilyet találsz akkor írd be, hogy "Needs Archived". Erről értesítőt kap a területileg felelős moderátor, ír a tulajnak, aki persze nem válaszol így a láda törlődik és a magyar tulaj akkor felteheti saját nevében (ha akarja) a .com-ra. Amíg nincs "Needs Archived" a moderátor csak azt látja, hogy a ládát szépen találgatják (persze a .hu-on keresztül).

Én is magyarul nézegetem, de még nem tűnt fel semmi kirívó hiba. A webtranslateit-en látom hogy néha felkerülnek új dolgok.

Ha pedig fordítani kell angolra akkor van itt a magyar nyelvű fórumon egy téma Fordítás (keres-kínál).

They use a rating system at www.geocaching.hu You rate the "environment", the "hide" and the "web presentation" of the caches you find. The average is displayed on the cache page and makes choosing the "good ones" a lot easier. Would be nice to see the option at the gc.com site as well.

I'm trying to run a PQ for "My Finds". I set the distance from my home coords to 10000km but it seems to reset to 750km every time. Is there a distance limit?

I just use a cheap inverter. You can get a 200W one for around 30 bucks. I think even Wal-Mart sells them. It gives you 110v for your notebook, also for anything else you may have running on 110V. Finding a 12V adapter for your notebook is either impossible, or would cost a fortune (>$30).
