  1. I like it. Pretty creative idea, but may be difficult to verify.
  2. 1) Get out and hike.preferably with B or M, maybe both, maybe even my wife on ocassion. 2) Have more finds than Team Bam Bam. Even with their number fluffer caches. 3) At lest beat Team Bam Bam to difficult caches. 4) Place my own cache. 5) To reach 200 before January 1
  3. Our most hearty congratulations to you on your outstanding accomplishment!
  4. At long last, someone creates a cache which calls on all of my skills!! I will be there.
  5. If needed, my services are available. Ask and you shall receive.
  6. I just hit 100 over the weekend. Team Bam Bam and I decided to do 100 together. We did Devils Hole which is a 5 and 5 multicache. At the end, team Bam Bam released a Travel Bug apparopriately named "The Milestone". It's objective is to take part in as many milestone caches as possible. I moved it to the Mills Reservation Cache in New Jersey. It was picked up by K/N as their first Travel Bug. When they place it, keep an eye out for it. Good luck to all, and congratulations to all of you reaching milestones!
  7. That post was hysterical. While Avroair hit many important stages of this unique obsession, he missed two important ones. 15.Your friends, who are also avid cachers, tell you that you are obsessed. You tell them that they just need to try ONE MORE cache to understand. 16. Having become addicted, you begin to think of any thing to send out as a travel bug. Life changes immediately when your wife wakes upand finds you standing over her with dog tags. She asks you what you are doing, and you reply, "you know how you said you wanted to visit someplace exotic...". She misunderstands your affection for an effort to remove obstacles between you and geocaching.
  8. Hum.. The Brittish Virgin Islands, or Saskatoon... They sound about equal. I like the idea of chasing the milestone down though.
  9. The link for "The Milestone" TB is: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=78581 Now that we broke 100 together, the race is on to 200... Any suggestions for a challenge for the 200th?
  10. Thanks for the info GEO. You really have written one awesome program here. Thank you.
  11. I think BMSquared would be in for something like that. Hey, if Team Bam Bam can do it, so can we. Unfortunately, we will need to cage our hounds for this one I guess.
  12. As one who works with government agencies on a daily basis, I find it completely incredible that ANY government agent would actually make a statement of policy which is committal let alone contreversial. I wish I could get the NJ/PA DEP's to make those kinds of definitive decisions on other cases. I have found that most of the people you can actually reach have no idea what thier regulations say or mean. I have received one to many letters stating "Although not technically required by the regulations of this department, the following are required" to believe that anyone can make a statement that accurately reflects policies. I do environmental engineering work in both states and I am always surprised when I actually reach a state worker with a take charge type of attitude and definite answers. As far as the littelr thing goes, why not just call them "Green Box Trail Markers" and be done with it?
  13. I have read throught he forums, but I don't see how to Synch the Field Notes tothe GC.Com site. I have only recently subscribed to the GC site, so obviously I am not experienced with using the PocketPC as more than a PDF reader for clues. But I just wanted to thank Fabian for an amazing little program. PS- I know the user manual still says version 1.1 Is there a new one on the way? Most of the features are self explanatory, but little things like uploading Field notes baffle me.
  14. I actually used another cachers house in a locationless cache. The cigar store indian cache requires that you log a wooden cigar store indian. Well... the back story is this. Team Bam Bam is my brother. We both learned of caching through different channels but at about the same time. Being brothers, it has become a competition... naturally. Our father carved two cigar store indians. The first one he gave to my brother to decorate his barracks. It was stolen soon after. The second, and most impressive indian was also given to my brother for his house. Well, we lagged behind, and the smack talk began. I had not found the locationless caches yet. Others tipped me off during a CITO event. Well, I found the Cigar Store indian cache and made the excuse to go hang with my brother. I stormed into the house, snapped the required phots, and made a B-line to log it from his own computer. He was just coming out of the shower and looked in at the computer just in time to see his own indian being logged out from under him. We are going to do out 100 caches together this coming weekend. And then? The race to 200 of course!
