  1. I have wooden nickels for trade as well. I recently bought a wood burner and started making my own sig item. Some are circle nickels and some are triangle. Because I am using a wood burner, no two items look identical. Its been alot of fun making these and hope to trade with anyone who is interested. Just shoot me an email and i'll send ya one!

    Me three!

  2. We have not gotten these yet, I just got the email with the mock up from geonickel.com but they did a great job on ours. I can't wait to get them. We are planning on putting them in caches that we consider to be handicapped/wheelchair accessible and trade for them at events. I'm hoping to get some before we go to Geocoinfest. I don't know if I will mail these out or not for trade but I will decide when we get back and if we have any left. I may have to reorder them after Geocoinfest.

Oh! No fair!! This is wooden nickel TRADING! Don't wave that picture in front of us and then say you don't know if you're trading! No fair!! :D

  3. I still have plenty of nickels to trade. I've traded with so many of you I can't remember who I've traded with and who I haven't. LOL!

If there is anyone interested in trading, just let me know through my profile or IM

    Thanx!

Got two of these in the mail today. Thanks for the trade. Glad you sent two. One of them broke (a little super glue should fix that tho).

Dang! I guess HAND CANCEL!! across the front doesn't mean anything anymore!

  5. Okay, I have been doing wooden nickels a bit different lately and would like feedback as to whether it's a good Idea or if it's just lame. I have blank wooden nickels and stamp one side only with a custom stamp I had made that says "TFTC 57'Chevy", and for the other side, I carry a sharpie along so I can write the cache I put it in or a thank you to whomever it's getting traded to... Yea?..Nay?.. Thoughts?

I like it! I don't think it's cheesy, It's more personal. If I found it, it would be in my pocket, but then I'm sort of a sig item ho.

  6. I still have lots of nickels for trade if anyone is interested.

BTW: If I have neglected to hold to my end of a trade, please let me know. I go to school full time and I'm busier than a cat covering crap, always maintaining a fine balance, just on the edge of total collapse! LOL! Honest, I won't be offended if you tell me I forgot, and I hope you understand.

  7. I'm in the process of planning a nickel for my hubbys birthday in February... I registered on GC site in Aug of 2005 but we didn't start actually caching until April of 2006 (family issues). What date should I put on the coin? Cacheing since 05 or 06?

I may be willing to trade a few, but these are going to be hand stamped and colored in by me (I think... current thought that is) so who knows. It's a ways off at any rate.

I've gotten a lot of good ideas off of this forum for making my own coins. Thanks for all of the ideas!

    WHAT!? NO TRADES?? ;)

I'd say you can do it two ways: member since___, or caching since____.

  8. I said I was sorry!

Actually, I've been working on a display like the one 57 Chevy made. I think my frame is way too big and now I need to fill it up. I'm working on a real jaw dropper! Getting close. I'll post some pics of it when I get it done.
