  1. Thats right , you have to have a routable map. But when u do get a routable map it will only take u as close to the cache as a road will get u, u will have to then go to setup ,routing, guidance method, and change from on road to off road. That will let u get the crow flies route. What we do is set automotive mode for on road and set geocaching mode for off road, we use auto mode till we get there then just switch over to geocaching mode. Hope u like your Colorado we just love ours.
  2. I like the City Nav NT 2009 Data card, I can use it any of my GPSr, but now I want to let my daughter have a copy of it for her Oregon ,but I cant seem to copy it and make it work. I know you r not supposed to be able to copy them but there must be some computer genius out there that can get around that. Any ideas?
  3. We use the colorado 400t with city navigator micro sd card. It gives us turn by turn on the road and then lets us compass to the cache site and has full cache description including the clue and the last page of logs. All that in one package, doesnt get any cleaner than that. And since I only have to use one hand for the GPSr I us a walking stick in the other.
  4. We use a modified version of the HuckleBuckle. When someone finds it they walk away quietly and then they loudly proclaim Huckawwwww (kind of like a crow). Its a gas to watch the face of someone who has never cached with us when they hear that for the first time. Although it can be a little embarasing when we Huckawwww something and it turns out to be a decoy.(been there)
