  1. Thank you SO much. I tried your suggestion and it works great! I'll be watching for the bug to be fixed. Again, thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
  2. I have Mac OX 10.6.2 / using Firefox 3.5.7. When I use the Advanced Search for caches, put in my zip code, and then place a 'check' in the box to eliminate any owned/found caches, the search still shows all found/owned caches. Is there something wrong with the site or am I doing something wrong? This has happened the last few times I've used the Advanced Search option. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
  3. Thanks to all for suggestions on finding the owner of this cache. We contacted an administrator - he contacted the owner - the owner contacted the administrator - the administrator contacted us: we are to keep the container and distribute the contents to other caches we visit or place the cache in a new location with us as the owners. Thanks again for helping.
  4. Thanks for all the help. I've tried locating this by using: cache owner/coords/cache name/zip code and can't find it. I'm now going to turn the problem over to an administrator/approver for our area. Thanks again to all of you who offered suggestions.
  5. The cache was listed on the website (it is no longer listed - searched by coordinates/name of cache and cannot locate it).
  6. We need to find the owner of a cache (cache is no longer listed on website). We found this cache yesterday and the property owner came out (cache had been placed on private land without permission). We were told to 'take the cache'. Any suggestions on locating the owner?
  7. OK - don't get uptight because I'm a newbie to this stuff. Just point me to where I can learn how to attach a photo when I log a cache as found. I've searched the FAQ area and haven't found what I need. Thanks.
  8. I've dropped off 2 TBs and cannot seem to get the icon to show up beside the entry on the search page. Can someone explain the procedure so people will know that these are ready to pickup? I've Logged My Visit, used Type of Log (found it), made my entry and submitted it. This does not seem to get the TB icon posted to the cache page. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.
  9. Thanks for all the help in converting decimal coordinates. I used directionsmag.com/latlong.asp - it did the converting as I typed in the digits. I then redid the calculations by multiplying the digits by 60 and came out with the exact coords. I'm learning all the time. :-) http://neilm.com/whitejeep/convert.mv was also helpful.
  10. Can anyone help with converting decimal coordinates to deg/min/sec? I have coords of: N44.42305 / W88.92467 and want to convert them to deg/min/sec. Is there a site or book that I can use to get the needed formulas? Thanks for the help.
  11. Thanks to the 2 replies to my message about the moved/removed cache. First, I apologize for sending 2 posts - I told you I was a newbie at this. :-) I did email the cache hider and am awaiting a reply. Hubbie and I think this GPS cache hiding is another benefit to our hikes, which already keep us up and moving. R&R Wanderers
  12. We've tried to find an 'easy' cache twice, but think it has been moved or removed. Someone suggested that it be moved because of logging in the area. How do we find out if a cache has been moved or removed? I know we're newbies at this, but we managed to find our first cache without too much trouble; it's that this one has given us problems. Any ideas? R&R Wanderers
  13. We've looked for a specific cache twice and are unable to locate it. The area is flat and the cache is supposed to be in a stump. How do we find out if it has been moved or removed? The remarks from others have indicated that it was easy to find, however, someone had suggested that it be moved because of logging in the area. Any comments?
