  1. Well, it probably wasn't THE grossest thing in the world, but WHY would you leave a USED Chapstick! EWWWW and EWWWWW. That was gross and now in the garbage!!
  2. This looks like lots of fun, I'll have to talk to my hubby and see how we can help! Also, looks like a good reason for a mini vacation! Looks like a cacher could be very busy there!!! I'll be in touch!
  3. All I could find was the Fall copy. I'll have to keep my eyes open.
  4. 4 words and 1 contraction; I'm going to see it.
  5. The Gold, it calls to us........oh sorry, watched Pirates of the Caribbean one too many times! Man what a cache, who wouldn't like to open a cache and find that! My husband put out a cache that mostly had little die cast cars in it, but I don't think we have really ever put an expensive item. I thought it would be cool to put a shopping card in one, since it is close to Christmas and all. I thought that would make a good FTF find. Now, I have to find somewhere good to put it!
  6. It always is a good thing to include a wide variety of items for all ages. Recently I found a packet of Bug repellent wipes in a cache, Good trade item if you ask me!I have a head start on next years "skeeto season". Also, personal "sig" items are always fun to pick up. Theme caches are fun, but you have to be prepared when you go so you have the right items for trading. You also have to expect some people won't trade within the theme, but it is all for fun anyway right! Cache on, see you on the trail!
  7. That is so very cool!! I have to come up with one of my own. Hmmm..gonna have to seriously consider a weekend trip to Indiana! I'll have to check out that sight!
  8. Cool, I will have to read that! Thanks for the post!
  9. Sorry, I didn't see that Stand was posted before, I guess that I was so excited when I thought about it, I somehow blocked it out when I "should" have seen it. So, delete it I did.
  10. Hiding a cache in a cemetary does not mean you have to hide it right on a grave. There is very interesting history to be found in cemetaries. Also, it is my understanding that Victorian cemetaries were more like parks, people would pay their respects, and spend time there, even having picnics. I may be wrong, but I am almost certain I have read about that. I have gone to several caches in cemetaries, I don't find it to be a problem. Maybe that is also because I live right across the street from one. I don't know, just be respectful.
  11. Ahhh hahahahaha hahaha BUTT......heee heee heeee haaaaa FEET.....haaaaaaaahaaaaa heeeee heeeeee heee hee hee hee...man, that was funny! Thanks for that....best laugh I have had all day!
  12. Hee hee, no, it is from the end of a song Metallica covered. Just sounded like it would go with the movie quote("There's a monster outside my window. Can I have a drink of water?). What can I say, I think I was sleep deprived at the time, and I just think it is funny. =o)
  13. Well, I have to say, we have a semi grab and dash, and people seem to enjoy being able to do one that isn't too demanding. And right now, I don't mind those considering I have been having knee problems. I hope people remember that not everyone can go "whack-bushing"(that one is my daughter's saying, haha). There should be caches for all types of people! Everyone should be able to join in the fun, at least that is what I am thinking!!!!
  14. Just have to agree with the DEET users, had it used on me as a kid, now I use it on mine(and me). Please please please, like it has been said, read the directions for use, and all other warnings. DEET is my friend!!
  15. I thought it would be a good way to spend time together as a family, and hmmmm, I was right. We have seen paths, parks, statues, many different historical landmarks that we didn't know were there. We have managed to put a few "family" caches out. My husband has gotten in to the puzzle caches, I think they are cool. I just don't have the concentration for them. Our dog has even gone with us a few times. We often have commented on how cool it is to be able to just go and "find" things hidden in the woods right there were people walk by everyday. Hope I am not rambling too much. I enjoy geocaching, and so does my family. I am looking forward to meeting more of my fellow cachers in person soon. Happy hunting everyone!!!
  16. It's a simple case of, "The Thrill Of The Chase"!! It gets those endorphines going doesn't it!!
  17. That is funny!! I was just in "one of those moods" when I saw this post. I like to find interesting stuff in a cache. If they were all the same, it would be boring, right!
  18. Well, If I ever get around to placing any caches, I will be sure and add, "Caution Lame Cache Description Follows" haha, whatever dude, maybe you should lay off the starbucks already! hee hee.
  19. What ever is the most affordable at the time of purchase. It's just the way it goes. We usually don't have much problem.
  20. I would have to agree with 2 other cachers, 1: In-N-Out Burger 2 : Dinosaur Bar-B-Que I live in the Syracuse area and man, that is bar-b-que you will never forget. It is awesome! And becuase I now live in Syracuse, I can't get mymost favorite burgers, In-N-Out cheeseburgers! But at least i was out in CA this summer, made about 4 trips there while we were out!!!
  21. I was just watching the movie the other night! And I thought about the geocaching factor, I think it was the first time I saw the movie since I started caching. I was thinking it would be cool to do a cache based on it....looks like I am too late. Cool cache story!
