  1. Due to a family emergency I need to sell my faithful etrex. This is the basic yellow one works fine and in very good shape. Light wear as expected, see pictures. I am asking $42 + $5 for priority mail shipping in the USA. via paypal. PM here or email wing2sky@gmail.com http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg85/ravenwho/garmin1.jpg back http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg85/ravenwho/garmin2.jpg
  2. I have listed a Magellan Pionner w/ manual on ebay starting bid of $5.99. It comes on and acquires a read. Worked last year. I have health problems right now and can't give it a full test run but appears fine. But since I am unsure starting it that low. http://tinyurl.com/pa2ys there is a link to it, ends April 21 at 20:21 PDT Cheers all! Raven
  3. My gps was stolen by someone i considered a friend . regretfully i cannot afford to replace it right now. I have some young people I have been telling about geocaching and was (am?) suppose to take them on hunts over Labor Day weekend. (actually 2 different families of kids) It has been suggested that I ask on here if anyone has an old or spare GPS that I could beg/borrow or buy VERY cheap? I am having some financial difficulties right now regretfully. I do have references if you have one to loan! Or if interested in bartering...? I live in Stanley,NC near Gastonia and work near Charlotte,NC. Thanks in advance! Raven
  4. $69 is a bit more than i can afford right now, thank you very much though. I think I am just going to have to explain to them we will have to go later in the fall. thank you for responding though! Raven
  5. I have a problem. I told some kids about geocaching and promised to take them. Then have found my GPS has "disappeared". (I am pretty sure I know who "disappeared" it as my digital camera was stolen too. The loss of trust hurts more than the material loss) Long story short is I am in a bit of a financial crunch right now If anyone has an old one they would like to sell cheap I am most interested! Or if anyone is interested in bartering for....??? I have not been able to geocache in a while due to health problems which is why I am just discovering my GPS missing now. But would REALLY like to take these kids over Labor Day and I know that may not be possible. Thanks for your time in reading this and your consideration. Raven

  9. Geocaching, like a lot of things in my life it seems, kind of rotates on the "able to do it now "scale. I enjoy getting out in the fresh air and the "hunt". I have not went out geocaching in over a year due to some health problems and life problems in general. Now that my life is not so chaotic I hope to get out and enjoy the spring weather. I like playing with my gadget, walking in the woods, noticing a few strands of fur caught in the brambles and trying to figure out what left it there. I try to examine any animal tracks and see if I can figure out what animal left them and which way they went. I don't think I will tire of it any time soon. I may have to lay it down for a while, as I have till now, but I still carry my GPS with me hoping I will find a few minutes to go out. Peace, Raven
