  1. If not, post another question to this thread and someone will come up with a solution. Hope this helps!
  2. Thank you! That's exactly what I'm looking for!
  3. That's what I'm hoping the software will accomplish. To post the coordinates to a web page using an attached laptop computer.
  4. Try lowering your security settings and see what happens. This usually helps.
  5. I keep mine in a mesh pocket of a backpack with the antenna pointing straight up. This keeps the sats ready so when I'm ready to seek a cache, it's all set to go.
  6. I respect this concept very much, and accordingly, have placed a truly handicapped-accessable cache. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...43-51133e1e47a8
  7. Does anybody know of any software that will track a GPS and post the coordinates to a web page automatically in real time? I need this to experiment with tracking the location of my laptop computer with a GPS attached. Idealy, any FREE versions of software would be most appreciated. Please post any ideas to this thread. Thanks!
  8. It's just an old public pay phone!
  9. Since we have all sorts of attributes for caches, why not have some for travel bugs? One feature I think would be most useful and fun would be to have a size attribute just like the ones used for caches. I know that there are a lot of small travel bugs and there are quite a few very large ones, so why not have an attribute connected with them stating their size? Just for fun, here are a few examples of large travel bugs: Mary Proppins Chain Chomp Public Pay Phone Cindy (The CinderBlock)
  10. Sorry. I have no idea where I saw it. But it's out there! I'll post a link if I can find it again. It was a couple who owned a wine making business in the Netherlands and they used one of their buildings as a cache container along with wine storage.
  11. As far as I'm concerned (and I could be way out here), it's a travel bug. Therefore, you are free to attach anything you want to it. Let this serve as an example... http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=118979
  12. In Holland (?) there is a log cabin! Does it get much bigger than this?
  13. That's awesome! Thanks for hiding your cache!
  14. Me too! Anybody want to swap travel bugs for one? Let me know ASAP!
  15. Allow me to introduce to you, my travel bug. It is an old public pay telephone weighing approximately 40 US pounds! http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=118979 Just thought I'd let you know that bugs of this size do travel, though not as often or as far as their smaller counterparts.
  16. Is mailing the bug an option?
  17. I agree! I do this all of the time! For me, when people re-visit my caches, I know that they are still in good shape and, findable. Perhaps I'm the exception, but I like it when people leave notes that they've been by for a visit to drop off or claim a TB.
  18. Best of luck with your new job! And it's funny you mentioned it, because I mentioned geocaching on my resume when I applied to a few jobs recently! Honest.

    New Attributes

I've done something like this before.
  20. Yes, I have noticed that micros are getting to become annoying to some people, so I've decided to place larger sized caches accordingly just to hopefully create a new trend. Sadly, virtuals aren't being accepted at this time.
  21. Sadly, one of mine became someone elses collectible.
  22. We also have the coolest people, I think.
  23. Okay, I can agree to that. It is Jeremy's idea and I respect that.
  24. That was the case in point of a cache I wanted to place. It is an 8-acre federally-protected site! My only option was a virtual, and even after explaining this to the approver, it still got dismissed as not being acceptable.
