  1. FYI I mailed GC about this, october 15th I got a ticket (already closed) and this answer: Hello, Thank you for writing us. At this time, this feature does have some bugs and we are aware of them. Our development team is looking into it. In the meantime, you may wish to consult our forums. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showforum=8 Eric Groundspeak, Inc. I sincerely hope they are looking into this flaw, my watchlist logfiles are nearly unreadable. Barjon.
  2. Sorry, I posted a new bug in a new thread, in stead of here. it's here: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=149889 and the text is: Hi, With this waymark: http://www.Waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?...aeb1c&gid=3 I got a decline from an unknown approver, the top line reads: "This waymark has been declined by iryshe" and that's wrong. The 3 approvers of ANWB PAddenstoelen are: Aladdin, Barjon (thats me), and Tijgetje. I'm sure I got the decline from Aladdin. I'll try to keep the declined page as "un-approved" for you to examine. Please inform me if your investigation is ready. What's wrong? So know it is a double posting. (Sorry) Barjon
  3. Hi, With this waymark: http://www.Waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?...aeb1c&gid=3 I got a decline from an unknown approver, the top line reads: "This waymark has been declined by iryshe" and that's wrong. Rudolf.
  4. It's a good suggestion. I'll hopefully get to this soon. Today I saw my whish is realised. Fine! But there's a flaw at this new screen (with the full picture). When you click 'gallery' in the line "Home > Directory > Waymark > Gallery > Image" at the top of the screen in the black background, you'll end up in a flaw. ==> Wrong screen! 1) Top left: no image. 2) Total Records: - Page: of prev<<<[]>>>next Total Records: - Page: of prev<<<[]>>>next *This gallery may contain images that are hidden due to your present location or waymark settings. So, the gallery is not showing up. Success with the repairs! Rudolf.
  5. You have to use a 3rd party aggregator to read the feeds. It won't show anything but xml if you just click the links. On our home page post we give an explanation of how to utilize the feeds. Using browser MAXTHON (recent version = 1.5.8 build 120) is comfortable. It has a built-in RSS reader.
  6. Hi, I detect a screen refresh as soon as I enter the country while recording a fresh waymark. (why?)Proposal: generate a(nother) screen refresh, including nearest waymarks on top of the fresh page, as soon as both coordinates are entered. This can be the signal "something else" is near those coordinates. If the same waymark is popping up, you need not to go on recording yours. Idea?
  7. Black Dog Trackers, Tonight I edited my text because I forgot 1 click. What I intended to express is the extensive way of clicking to see the original uploaded photo. There should be a way to get it quicker. I proposed 1 click on the actual little photo at the waymark screen. But there could be more or other possibilities. What WM created up to now now is OK with me, but I want a much quicker way to see the original uploaded photo. Is my clarification convenient to you? Barjon.
  8. Before I see the 'real' (not reduced) uploaded image, I am several clicks on the way. The recent picture structure is quite disappointing, this cannot be the intention. I'll illustrate. Goto Structures|Windmills http://www.Waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx...586ab&gid=3 You'll see a little picture Click on the picture of the first mill. http://www.Waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?...31edd&gid=3 You'll see a little picture, again You would like to click on that pic for a larger view, impossible, no link, nothing to click, so... Click on 'view waymark gallery' http://www.Waymarking.com/gallery/default....31edd&gid=2 You'll see 1 or more little pictures belonging to this mill. Click on one of the little pictures and you'll get a little bigger one, *) click on this bigger one and finally you'll get the original uploaded photo. This route is way to long! In my opinion (look to the red line) that's the place where the original photo should pop up. Can anyone support me in this proposal? Barjon. *) Made correction, I forgot 1 click.
  9. Hi, For Windmill "De Hoop" in Swartbroek, the Netherlands == http://www.Waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?...94614&gid=3 I tried to upload images several times. It's the same problem ALaddIN reported. The upload of images is flawed. I tried 2 times, both uploads were vanished! Where are they? In a private message to the group officer I reported this flaw and asked him to NOT approve this waymark until the upload function is debugged. Barjon.
  10. Counting of Category Lists Largest & Most Popular is flawed again. Barjon
  11. In this waymark is an encrypted hint. http://www.Waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?...15-ddc1075b6eac The decrypt link does not work but generates an error: 404 error + You selected a waymark code that either does not exist or is temporarily disabled. Needs repair? Barjon.
  12. As 1st officer I would like to have the possibility to edit the text of all waymark photo's in the galery. *) The only possibility now is to ask the creator to remove the photo and upload the same photo again with another text. Barjon. ADDED *) At least the originator should have this possibility.
  13. When I send approve or decline (webmail from the site), the created mail looks like as it is generated by Groundspeak. At least when you don't write any text >> with your name under it << in the text window. 1st I would like to have this webmail generated, as if it is made by ME (the approving officer). So MY nickname with MY email link should be IN and UNDER that mail. 2nd I would like to have a (default checked) checkbox added, to indicate that I want a copy send to MY personal email address. Reason: I cannot trace back what I wrote/answered in the approve or decline webmail: I have no copy. Please concider this request. Barjon.
  14. Hi, Could we have a 'find and sort button' added to every waymark? Purpose is to 'find, sort and display' (all) the waymarks 'on distance' in respect to that specific waymark in that specific group. OR can this be achieved in another way? Please compare this with "Find ...nearby caches of this type, that I haven't found" at Www.Geocaching.Com published on every geocache page. Something to think about? Barjon. ADDED: Uh-Oh, Found it! Click on a waymark and on the next page go down and choose "Nearest of ..." Sorry, my eyes were sanded.
  15. Hi, As officer with the highest rank I would like to correct (edit) an existing waymark of a user. I see "edit" in the right column, click on it and I get: Server Error in '/' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web> </configuration> Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web> </configuration> So I don't know if I can/may edit an existing waymark (one that is 'closed' for the creator)? If yes, this seems an error/bug. If no, I should have this possibility and not an application error. Do you understand what I mean? If not, ask me and I'll try to explain it better. Barjon.
  16. It looks like you can't see all the waymarks in a particular category when you have a location filter set (which actually makes sense to me). The location filter is limited to those waymarks which can be found within 200 miles. To see all the waymarks in a category, clear the location filter (click the "clear location" link), then set the "since" pulldown to 3 years while doing a regular (not location filtered) category view. There must be a lot simpler way to get ALL the waymarks to see. 1 Click should be enough. A "see all" button or something like that. I dis-like the fiddling with miles/kilometers. Barjon.
  17. Unfortunately I dislike the visit log / visit page, because 1) the screen is rather empty and 2) you have to go on clicking to see the photo('s) in real size. On the tiny one is hardly anything to see and it has no 'one click zoom'. My wish: at least 1 photo (first uploaded one?) should be presented in normal size at the first appearing visit screen. Space enough. Please, go on debugging and implementing wishes. Thanks! Barjon.
  18. Someone visited one of "my" waymarks: http://www.Waymarking.com/wm/details.aspx?...;tp=2&gid=3 I got an automated "visit" mail with 2 links: This is an automated message from Waymarking.com You are receiving this email because you are the owner of the 20007 - Laren waymark. FerryStreens&Fairyglitters visited 20007 - Laren on 10/13/2006 12:25:40 AM and posted the following comments: "FTF, deze staat wel heel erg dicht bij #1. " Visit this log entry at the following address: http://www.Waymarking.com/logs/details.asp...mp;id=29001/001 - Laren&tp=2&gid=3&LogGUID=6fa8fc5d-6133-4dc0-aa0e-f2a50b5d8e5b Visit the '20007 - Laren' waymark at the following address: http://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/details...amp;t=4&id=29001/001 - Laren&tp=2&gid=3 The owner of this log will have one hour from the time of the initial posting to edit this log. After this hour has expired, the posted log will no longer be editable. Both links are faulty. First one gives an incomplete screen, second one brings me to the wrong waymark. Beside this, the spaces in the link(s) "break" the link, if you understand what I mean. Please re-investigate what's went wrong. Barjon
  19. Hi, As approval officer I used the Google Maps very, very often (in the previous Waymarking version). The present tiny Google Map, shown in the upper right corner, is no longer of any use because it's not detailed enough and not clickable. (to get a zoomed or more detailed view) In case of approving "ANWB Paddenstoelen" the aid of a detailed "Google Map" is crucial. Please, can we have back the detailed Google maps from the previous Waymarking version? I.e. could one click on the tiny map open a new browser-instance (as in Geocaching.com) with the detailed Google Map? We, ALaddIN, Barjon and Tijgetje, love the Waymarking 2.0 site and wish you good luck in fixing the bugs. Regards, Barjon.
  20. Hi, The zoom_in button finally stopped working completely. Last week I did send in my x600 for repair. I was told that the x600 will be send from the Netherlands to Thales in France for repairs (in this case replacing the button-pad, I think). The Dutch import organisation (I think anybody), is not qualified to do ANY repairs, from the viewpoint of Thales. Is there a kind of arrangement to send ALL Magellan repairs to France? Not so good: this will cost at least 10-14 days extra. I'm lucky to still have my old Yellow Meridian, so caching will continue. (But I will miss routing very, very much the coming 4 weeks. ) Regards, Rudolf.
  21. Christmas 2005 DOT_COM compiled the various wishes in this thread to the top of this thread. (Long time ago in Bethlehem...) Are there no more/new wishes to be compiled since then? Is Magellan still reading this thread? Who knows? Did anybody "hear rumours" of an upcoming eXplorist SW update? So sorry, but I've only questions. Barjon.
  22. Operational: Magellan Meridian Yellow, Magellan eXplorist 600
  23. I can confirm this. All the links at the eXplorist Wiki page are dead for some time. Rudolf.
