The girls have a soccer game on the morning of the cache machine. We won't make it up there until the afternoon. We'll probably skip a lot of the caches and head straight towards Port Townsend and try to meet up with everybody - if not on the road, then at dinner.
We mostly use a Toyota matrix which gets around 26 to 33 MPG but if we are going into the mountains we the the GMC Jimmy that gets a whopping 16 to 22.
But you know what even with gas prices the way they are it's still cheap entertainment compared to other things you can do and its fun for the whole family.
Dick you just go now, gas is only expected to go up to around $4.00 in a month or so. Besides just like Nike " Just do It"
Have fun.
Going to toot our own horn. Got # 800 at Marmot Pass via the Big Quilcene Trail this week.
The girls really worked hard on this one, we went up via the Tubal Cail Trail. Wow what a hike. Total miles was around 22.
We usally drive a 2004 gray Toyota Matrix With a Geocaching Sticker in the rear Window, But Also might see us in a Green 1995 GMC Jimmy with Geocaching license plate frams.
Wow, I'm glad we did that before the wash-out. Of course another mile isn't too bad - except when you've got kids who are looking forward to walking the 'trails' not the 'roads'.
This sounds like fun we'll see what we are doing on the third not sure yet. But we have been thinking about putting the canoe in the water and trying this one for awhile, might be the right time.
