The complete reverse of Take 2, but with the terrain I could never get in the hole and get my head back out in time. Take 3 was really take 20 and was me giving up.

I have always had great service from them, the geocaching gear is only a sideline for them and I don’t think very profitably but run as a service to the caching community. I know that running the Australian geoshop is not something you choose to do to make money the previous distributors gave it up after a while (I don’t know why) and there was no local way to get cache gear so for sphere to do it on the side for essentially no or minor benefit should be applauded. Some times there might be some supply issues but they have always done their best for me as far as I can tell and I am very happy to use them. Mix

(when) can we get a trackables stats bar like the cache one?
-
Just before a a recent event cache that I held I had some contact with an North American geocacher and so for fun I got some postcards and had attendees at the event write on them. I then “addressed” them to his cacher name c/o. the waypoit code and name of one of his caches with state and country as well. These were then taken and dropped in caches by a few teams, I called it geomail, I don’t know how original this idea is but it seemed a cool twist on the old hitchhiker. I did put my contact details on them a few instructions but at this point I have basically lost track of them. In the end they may make it or they won’t but it got me thinking. I was going to try again but this time make up some “stamps” by photocopying a few travel bugs and sticking the copy to the postcard. It them occurred to me that maybe there is potential in this similar to GeoCoins. Maybe GeoStamps could be made and sold that have tracking numbers on them these could be used to send postcards from cache to cache anywhere in the world. If different designs were made they could be as collectable as the coins. Anyway just sharing my thoughts. Hope someone finds them interesting. Mix

Category Proposal: Places Of Worship
Mix replied to Mix's topic in Recruitment and Category Proposals Archive (Read-Only)
Too many? not any more than say fishing spots or MacDonalds Restaurants As for lumping Baptist with Catholics I don't see it as a big deal (and that’s as a Baptist with a Catholic sister.) You could divide the Christians places of worship into Protestant and Catholic, but then were do you stop, do we have separate categories for Suni and Sheite in Islam, Theravada and Mahayana in Buddhism or even Southern Baptist and Baptist. I think you just have wideranging catigories and then let people give the detail in the Waymark. At any rate I can see where this is going and I don’t think I will be playing at Waymarking.com -

I do hope the accents are not too thick (especially mine). The biggest thing will probably be the pronunciation of “Cache”, but yes, we are talking about the same sport that’s just how most of us say it. If you are ever back this way sept1c_tank let us know and we will shout you a stubbie
