  1. OrcasStreet just sent me an email saying he wanted to adopt it. I referred him to Team Misguided to get it worked out. It will be nice to see Ball One up and running again.
  2. Ball One: Sick's Seattle Stadium has been missing for 3 months, has not been disabled, and the owner hasn't logged on for 3 months. Perhaps somebody nearby can adopt it and replace the container? It is a very cool cache, but has obviously been abandoned.
  3. What gives? The Original Stash Tribute Plaque has been archived, and it's all politics? If there's any cache that deserves special consideration, it ought to be this one.
  4. Congrats, Blindleader! Wienerdog and I were lucky enough to witness the big event!
  5. We must add our thanks as well. Team Misguided has been the approver on all but one of our caches, and their speed is outstanding. THANK YOU TEAM MISGUIDED!!!
  6. There's nothing in the article posted referencing the bear released at Kanaskat-Palmer. My search of King5's website yielded nothing on this incident, but I did find this article from the Bellingham Herald. It says the bear that was killed had been released along the Nooksack River, not the Green River that flows through Kanaskat-Palmer. It also says that the bear traveled only ten miles from where it was released in Whatcom County to where it was raiding BBQs and bird feeders. Although it received hazing similar to the bear released at Kanaskat-Palmer, it could not be the same bear.
  7. That couldn't possibly be the same bear. The story is an affirmation of the need for caution when hiking the trails near Kanaskat-Palmer, however.
  8. I'm posting the Yippee! We just solved The Gang of Ten and verified the coordinates. WH!!!!
  9. Congratulations to BLINDLEADER on reaching 500 yesterday! Hail to the Chief! WTG, Blindleader!
  10. Did any ofyou see the TV news last night? Wildlife officials released a nuisance bear yesterday in picnic area inside Kanaskat-Palmer State Park! They harassed it with dogs and shot it with rubber bullets when they released it, to discourage it from visiting public areas of the park. The effectiveness of that remains to be seen. I doubt the effect of the discouragement extends to all the surrounding hiking trails, so caching in groups would be prudent near Kanaskat-Palmer now.
