  1. Each unit has it's own pluses and minuses. So you really need to look at what features you really want, versus what you can live without.
  2. Not sure if this is the correct forum or not, but According to my account page, my membership renews on July 15. But my paypal came in and it wanted to renew on July 7. How can I make these dates match up? Paypal said I need to contact Groundspeak. So I am asking here. If I need to send a email, please provide the correct one to help in this situation. Thanks.
  3. Been kinda quiet in this thread. Is this still something that GC is working on?
  4. Ok, I was going to post about my route query that didn't work, but then I read some more and found that it was just too long. I will break it down into 500 mile legs and re-run it. Thanks for all the work you guys are doing on this feature.
  5. I don't condone or practice the so called cheating tactics that others employ, or are accused of. My stance is why should I be moved to care about how others choose to find happiness in a game with no clear winners, no real competition, and as completely subjective in reference to what you might think of as point value as this site is set up to run? I haven't been convinced why I should care by any intelligent argument in all the discussions so far..... Again, maybe when a questionable find of someone else's causes ME to lose some "points" I can be moved to your side of the fence. Hmmmm sounds like ...... could it be...... TERRACACHING? My question is Why do folks want to turn geocaching into terracaching? I play both on their own merits. I happen to like it better HERE. There's more than ONE lane on the geocaching highway. It sounds to me like a few folks need to switch lanes and try the OTHER side of the coin for awhile. We'll see ya back here soon enough. Very Well Stated... But if we didn't have Forum whiners then it really would be terracaching!
  6. If there's an obvious flagrant foul then OK, but if you are deleting logs of people that actually "found" your cache then that's BS. "It is better to let nine guilty men free than to convict one innocent man." AMEN!
  7. We have done 2 caches that were locked. One was a multi-Puzzle cache, in which you had to journey to differnt historic placards and get numbers for the combination, the other was one where it had a key lock on it and the key was a TB and there was also a CD that had pictures on it that had the actual coords hidden in the pictures that was also a TB. You had to find both TB's to get the coords and the key then head out to find the cache. Both caches were very cool and were placed in areas that a lockable container would not likely be muggled. Both caches were very well done and were very enjoyable.
  8. I just found this thread. Thanks for your thought and proactiveness in this Jeremy. This idea has plenty of merits and will be welcomed by many. I do feel that the PM's would be cheated if they were not able to find NPM's, so the idea of each PM getting to upload their own icon would be a nice touch. The Bookmarking of cachers would be a nice PM feature also. I do like that thought of making logs and posting coords and photos and the ability to pass off TB's and Coins too. Again, Thanks for being Proactive in this.
  9. I bolded and underlined a statement. Again, MOST LIKELY, it won't be listed, but then again, it does not say it WON'T.
  10. AMEN! Again. AMEN! If you don't like the way people play the game that has NO PRIZES, then stop playing. If someone logs a pocket cache, so be it. They found it. It may not have been at the posted coords, but they found it. If someone sees a coin, they can now DISCOVER it, Thanks Jeremy for adding that feature, because they DISCOVERED it. We have found several coins in the wild, as a matter of fact, we dropped one in the APE cache in Maryland on SUnday. SO they ARE out there, you just need to get away from the computer and go look for them.
  11. So, how long before we will be able to download the Waymarking pages like we can the geocaching pages? .loc or .gpx files. These would be a great addition to the site and may increase traffic. I know we are not hunting waymarks due to this issue.
  12. Making the trek in May. We would like one coin.

  15. I'd be interested in one of them...
  16. You might want to update the links on your page, as it only goes to Chapter 9... Just a thought!
  17. Weird, mine were cheaper than doing a 1.5" even the dies were half the cost. Hey AG, who did the smaller coin for you?
  18. When our Pack went on a camp out, we went the park where GeoWoodstock 3 was held, and has a good saturation of caches, I just ran a PQ before we left and printed out some cache pages and asked that the parents bring their GPS if they had one. Believe it or not, out of 12 Cub Scouts, all but 1 parent showed up with a GPS. So we passed the cache pages around and let the kids decide where we hiked to, and we cached in trashed out while we were there as our "Service Project" for the free use of the campsite. All of the boys were plesantly surprised to find an ammo can stocked with goodies so close to our site. Only one has actually signed up to Geocaching.com, but no one has ever been disappointed when we mention that caches are near the next campsite.
  19. Ok, I was trying to do a forum searh tonght and got the following errer: I was and still am logged in. Any suggestions?
