  1. Oh, and I think it's $0,06 now, because I can add my 2 cents to derschlings and WriteShop Robert, too.
  2. Yipes! I don't think you should trade for coins that have been activated for travelling. When I say activated, I mean activated and owned by the person that you are trading with. Of course I would only trade a coin with the owner of the coin! I thought that was so clear I didn't need to mention it!
  3. Well, I wouldn't mind if a coin I trade for is activated (if it has got an individual story with many logs it would be even more special for me), but I would like to adopt such coins. As long as someone else is the registered owner of the coin, it's not mine...
  4. I like the design, especially the colours... I'd guess that the purples in the front will look gorgeous in combination with gold! Regarding the resemblance with the four elements coin: both resemle the symbol for an earth cache, so I think it's ok to use it for a new coin, too. But as it seems, the coins theme is what people might leave on the surface of the earth, not whats inside it... So maybe using an earth without a big chunk missing would make sense. (But then I would miss the nice warm yellow and orange you used for the earth's kernel, so forget about that again) But nevertheless: If the coin was sold now the way it looks in the first post, I think I would forget that my coin budget for this month is already exceeded, and order some.
  5. I bought three of them: One for MissMarple 43, one to be activated (still thinking about an appropriate mission...), and one as a backup, if my woolly little adventurer goes MIA... I also got me the little Pig. Nice coins!
  6. One arrived! Yipppieh! I just want to say: I don't mind if my packages are opened berfore christmas... I'm so excited
  7. Wow! I like them! When I'll release one of these (If I'm not one of the chosen,I'll buy some if I don't miss out the sale...), I'll take pictures of that coin with the Moto Guzzi of my muggle. That's yellow, too

Incoming Package Received!: Mission#3 (This package became a bit bigger than the others... couldn't resist... I hope the other mission receivers will not mind, that theirs are smaller...) 1. Participating: E-mail sent, 3rd Oct. 2. Received Name:30th Oct. 3. Outgoing mission mailed: 5th Nov. 4. Incoming Package Received!: I hope they will all like the coins (Well, I do!)! And that the packages arrive on time! Fröhliche Weihnachten!
  9. Hi, I could release Coins in the North of Germany :-) I usually send my coins in the wild in their plastic flips, with a laminated piece of paper which shows the mission in german on one side and in english on the other side. If the coin has got a hole, I'll attach the laminated mission label to it, too (I'm actually doing some experiments with metal eyelets in the mission label, but it seems I am too clumsy to attach those eyelets... ) I hope all the coins will have a long and safe wild ride!
  10. Oh my Oh my... Normally I'm one of the people who feel annoyed when the shops start selling christmas stuff in October... but this year, thanks to this fine mission, I'm happy about finding those things already :-) I chose some nice coins for my missions, I hope they like them. Now I can estimate how difficult it must be for those elves who drew my name, with just a few posts from me in the forum and only HTFs in my want List... Well, to make things a little easier: I like celtic and Viking patterns or themes from other ancient cultures and on the other hand I like Coins that are funny somehow. I would also be very happy with a personal coin, if my elve-in-charge made one or something from the region of the sender... But most of all I just like to get surprised :-) I already started packing... Now my next problem is: will I ever be able to close the lids of these boxes? I don't want to have to take something out again... It's a little like the old tetris game... But it will fit... must... fit...
  11. Ok, I come out from my lurking place... 1. What is your name (caching name is fine), location, age, and occupation. Hello, my name is Chur, and I'm a Geocoin addict. I'm living in the north of germany, I'm thirtysomething, and I do work in the wind energy branch 2. What was the first geocoin you ever held in your hand? dunno... I bought some before I found my first one in a cache, because the idea of geocoins and travelbugs thrilled me so much when I read about it... like that garden gnome in the Amelie movie I guess it was my "Lord of the Caches", but I'm not sure. The first one I found in a cache was a "Licence to Cache", I like that coin a lot, too! 3. Approximately how many coins to you currently own? *mumble* must be more than 100 now... 4. Approximately how many coins have you released into caches? And how many are still active? I just counted the ones with counted km: 18! And there will be more! I love it so much to find a real coin in the wild, I want other people to have the opportunity, too! I fear my coloured Birka might be MIA, the last cacher logging that box didn't see it any more... And one is in the hands of a 3-caches-newbie, who didn't answer my email, but I still hope for that little gecko... 5. Have you ever minted a coin? If so - how many? If not - skip to question 6 Nope. But I will. One fine day... 6. What is your favorite color? green (dark, "earthy" green) 7. What is your favorite food? I love thai food. And arabic food (Falafel! Hommus!). And Indian food! And Chocolate! And I'm a "Körnerfresser" (grain eater? Can you eat it or do you have to pick it?) 8. What are some of your favorite songs/musicians/groups? Everything interesting... Tom Waits... P.J. Harvey... Indie and Punk Rock, like the Descendents, Me first and the Gimme Gimme's, and I just discovered a danish band named "Snake and Jett's amazing bullit band" that's fun to listen 9. What hobbies do you do aside from caching and drooling over coins? My muggle and me bought a small house which we a renovating ourselves... I'm living in a construction site at the moment, but it feels better to call it my hobby ;-) And I read a lot (mainly science fiction an fantasy stuff) 10. Your general life philosophy can be stated as: Dunno... I think it's a mixture of "Dreist gewinnt" (Could be translated to "Fortune favours the bold" (another very nice coin...))and "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you".
  12. So, have you all got your tradelists up-to-date?
  13. Yeah, I got some adresses! Mission #1 1. Participating: E-mail sent, 3rd Oct. 2. Received Name: 30th Oct. 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: Mission#2 1. Participating: E-mail sent, 3rd Oct. 2. Received Name:30th Oct. 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: Mission#3 1. Participating: E-mail sent, 3rd Oct. 2. Received Name:30th Oct. 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: This is fun!
  14. I am, too, sitting here excited with my coincollection an a big box of chrismas decoration stuff... what can I put in the package, will I have something from their wishlist? If the list wasn't that long, I would even start checking ALL the wishlists... This is really fun, thanks, Butterfly_lady! (Tststs, I got your name wrong, SORRY! I think I always want to write something with "fairy" because so many people will get their wishes fulfilled with this mission...)
  15. I found this little guy while doing the "Schippstrother Runde", while I was searching for the micro with the next hint. He couldn't tell me where the next stage was, so I carefully replaced the piece of bark under which he was hiding... Normally I never get my camera out fast enough to take pictures of the animals I see, but this newt was patiently posing for me :-) I think it is an alpine newt, but I didn't look if it's belly was orange, didn't want to disturb it too much PS: Thanks for the Cointest! So many nice pictures!
  16. OOOOps. Me, too, just came out from under my rock, and read about the baby earth turtle... Just registered to the mailing list, so I won't miss the next nice coin
  17. I'm in, too! Mission #1 1. Participating: E-mail sent, 3rd Oct. 2. Received Name: 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: Mission#2 1. Participating: E-mail sent, 3rd Oct. 2. 20. :-) the twelve hours are over, I'll have another try! How about Waiting for the sun - the Doors (so many sunny songs :-) )
  21. Thanks for the cointest, I'll have a try: Black hole sun - Soundgarden greetings, Chur

    Mimbres Geocoin

Wow! If I knew before about the different LE versions, maybe I would have reserved some more... I actually ordered two, because I wanted to have one for me and one for trade, but now, after having seen those pictures, I don't think I can let one of them go... My two Coins are not here yet (they need some time to jump over the great pond :-) ), an I'm so curious, which colours I will find in my package! I LOVE surprises!
  23. If there's nothing in the coins mission which says it should move as fast as possible, or stay in the same country or something like that, I'd keep it until the trip or until the owner answers your mail... I can say that I would always be happy when one of my Coins could make such a jump!
  24. Hi there, here comes the german version (the babelfish version is really funny, but I don't think that anybody who doesn't already know what a geocoin is can understand it): Bitte behalte diese Geocoin nicht! Danke! But if you want to add so many different languages, I would recommend to use a shorter text: Dies ist kein normaler Tauschgegenstand! Bitte bring sie in den nächsten Cache und logge sie mit dem tracking code (auf der Rueckseite) unter www.geocaching.com. Danke! (Translation: This is not a regular trade item. Please bring it to the next cache and log it with the tracking code on the back at www.geocaching.com. Thank you!) "auf der Rückseite" means on the back. If the tacking code is on the edge change it to: "am Rand" Well, I wish a good journey to all your coins :-) Gute Reise! Chur
