  4. I'm in Canada and have purchaced my units from GPScity.ca, you guys have one in the states it is .com. We have another one which is called GPSCENTRAL, I have yet to come across any cheaper prices and googd service
  5. It's been a while since I've looked for the map,and its been even longer since I've been on the forum. Can anyone tell me what happend to the map or where it is located. The map to zoom in to caches located in your own areas,it use to be at the top of the cache pages.
  6. By this time they should have come back with something, either you are able to list/post these caches or not.One way or the other it would be nice to know.
  7. Thank you for the info Planet I wasn't aware of this,I guess I will have to wait to post my cache.
  8. I was wondering if someone could tell me how this works.I was getting ready to enter a locationless cache and when I went to select the cache type, there was nothing for a locationless,is there something I'm missing.
  9. I aggree people do not have to be that cheap, sure it is all about going out and enjoying the hunt. My son comes with me and he enjoys caching, but I think if we hit too many with nothing in it that he would loose interest and I don't blame him.Myself as an adult enjoy finding things in there that I can exchange. I have seen a few times where people have left nothing and has taken an item or left a calling card in it's place and I don't think that is right. I believe that if it came right down to it,if there were nothing in the caches it would go down hill fast. You would not be able to keep kids interested in it and there our future even in geocaching.
  10. Two of the best places for hiking boots are http://www.sirmailorder.ca/ and http://www.lebaron.ca/ One of the best brands on the market is Irish setter's. These oulets are in canada and they have a large selection of boots. Hope this helps.Gor-tex is breathable waterproof material that works realy well. The last couple of years they have been bringing out breathable waterproof boots, that are not called Gor-tex but do the same job and come with the same warrentee.
  11. I don't know if you bought one yet, but I can tell you that I have a legend and it's great. I just got metro guide 4 and I don't think there is any better, detail is unbelievable. I know waas works well up near bathurst.
  12. I can't tell you what to buy,but I can tell you what not to buy and that is a Saturn I own one and I will never buy another. The service from saturn is the *****.Take it or leave it, bottom line though it's up to you. Do your home work. Good Luck.
  13. I was wondering if anyone in New Brunswick (Canada) would have a map cd for etrex to sell.I am looking for one for my legend, not interested in paying $150.00

  15. I'm pretty new at this myself, but a spare set of batteries and small first aid kit is lots. More than that you learn as you go from the forum and personal experiance. quote:Doing easily what others find difficult is talant, doing what is impossible for talent is genius.
  16. I think they should be taken out also. Not good Doing easily what others find difficult is talant, doing what is impossible for talent is genius.

  20. quote:Originally posted by FarSideX:If you can't go out the next day or two (at the most) DON'T take the TB in the first place. Would that be too hard? I've left TB behind when it's in the last cache I will do on a Sunday knowing I won't be out until the following weekend. The only exception I can think of is if the bug has been sitting in the same cache for months, then it would be OK to take and hold until the next weekend I would think, but no longer. I am guilty of holding a TB for a week though but the day after I picked it was the start of a week of rain. quote: Not much of an excuse for the person that thinks it should be left there if you can't send it off right away : :If I lost a TB I would inform the owner and place it the graveyard if there was no chance of recovery.
