  1. Absolutely agree. It's a plastic box, who cares, move on, get a life, close the thread. I think that's right. The thread has run its original course so now is the time to draw it to a close.
  2. Whilst we all know what is being discussed let's try and refrain from being too explicit. Too many more "near the knuckle" euphemisms for dog poo and I'll have to close the thread. Thanks.
  3. No need for further duplication so I'll close this thread. Thanks for the links BTW.
  4. You might also look at the Which Gps ? topic in the "Multiple Pinned Threads" section at the top of the UK forum.
  5. As you've already posted the same request here there is no need to cross post in a new thread so I'm closing it.
  6. Hi, I'm the forum moderator for the UK and I see you have posted the same message in multiple forums. While I can understand your reason for doing this I'm afraid it breaches the forum posting guidelines at http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?act=boardrules, specifically the one that says "Posting Messages: Posting the same message to many topics or boards is considered spam. Duplicate messages will be deleted or consolidated by our moderators." I'm afraid I shall have to close this thread. Lactodorum, Volunteer Forum Moderator, Geocaching.com
  7. It's been a while since I started this thread and unfortunately Rob hasn't had any takers yet. If you sre in the South West and are able to help can you contact him at rob(at)elmsendproductions(dot)com. Thanks
  8. That's about it really. Bear in mind that when you post a note on a cache in general Reviewers don't get a copy of it so you'll need to e-mail us.
  9. We try and allow ALL opinions here and generally are very reluctant to intervene. If/when we do intervene it is only because we perceive a breach of guidelines. Sorry if you've been "whacked" in the past Hazel but there's nothing in this thread to worry anyone - well at the moment anyway so feel free to keep expressing opinions everyone.
  10. I can understand what you are saying but this is an inherent problem with keeping a duplicate, offline, database. That's not to say I don't sympathise, my own GSAK database is also always out of date. If you want to float the idea past TPTB you're better off posting it in the general forum - Geocaching.com Web Site.
  11. Bingo! That's the reason and as the police were involved as well it was "unpublished" as well as being archived. If anyone has this cache in their offline database I would urge you NOT to try and find it. Not only will you fail (it has been physically removed) you will bring Geocaching into disrepute with the local plod.
  12. <personal opinion>Couldn't agree more but there's them what like 'em and they comply with the guidelines so I keep on publishing them . My best advice is to read the cache page and if it's one of these (it's usually obvious) put it on your ignore list and go and hunt some "proper" caches. </personal opinion>
  13. Well you know those Americans are 200 miles out and behind with everything ! LOL ! I suppose its better than the old "Watford Standard" that was 30ft out all the time. Ah! Memories!
  14. In case you don't get the Sunday Times, they have an article on Geocaching in the Travel section. Not the best write up I've ever seen but not the worst either IMHO.
  15. I too have e-mailed you through your geocaching.com profile but have not yet received a reply. It might be worth checking the e-mail address you have registered.
  16. Given the response to the many times this has come up in the main forums I would guess that the answer is "very little" Even (especially?!) Reviewers are limited to 500 cache PQ's. Sorry.
  17. Any chance of a pm then please? I trust nothing "dodgy" is being discussed on this forum!
  18. Thanks for the offer(?!), I've sent you an e-mail.
