  5. Note to self: Check coords very carefully when Geo.Kitten publishes next cache Graculus no making fun of the foreign girl i said! At least my garmin knows where I'm going
  6. From your co-ords, head south west, if your feet get wet -you've gone too far! I should tell you I am the person who got lost going to the last to events while using sat nav I have no idea how I ended up geocaching with my really really really bad sense of direction
  7. Well It sounds fine to me in summer break I do need to look at a map and see where Bristol is though (please dont make fun of the foreign girl) K
  8. Geo.Kitten This might be the coin that you are referring to http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1405897 They are no longer available but you may be lucky and pick one up on e-Bay for a reasonable price. I have seen them advertised for $20 which is quite expensive in my book. Good Luck Yes that is the one o well I'll keep looking on ebay maybe I'll get lucky Thanks though K
  9. HI I've noticed that some people have an SA flag icon for a coin and I can only asume there is a SA coin out there. I probably should read back on this thread and ill find the answer to my question but im lazy Where would I buy one of those SA coins from Thanks K
  10. I have about 18 trackable items - I have only set free two coins and will NOT set any of the rest free - I take them to events and people can discover them so they get the icon. I am just not willing to set coins free they are to shiny and pretty and tempting to people I have been really lucky with all my TBs - all of them have pretty much been kept on the move except for one really. In the begining I used to get frustrated cause they took so long to move but now i realise not everyone lives breaths eats sleeps caching and dont always go straight to another cache I think the rule dont ever put something you dont want to lose on a tb is the best one
  11. as far as I know most people just put a tb tag on their dogs collar.. I discovered a few geo dogs at the uk mega event some of them even have little 'business cards' - and it has the tracking number on it. One of the best geo dogs I've met is Sir Chester Edited to add Sir chester logs his own caches too
  12. Hiya and welcome to this lovely 'game' K
  13. I was at the uk mega event this last weekend and had pages of tracking numbers id writtend down off cars, dogs and t shirts! even badges. It was really fun! I think the fun of being somewhere theres not alot of cachers is if someone does spot it and log it you will get a lovely suprise I'm going to make my car into a tb when I get around to it. I have to say though it added alot of logging to do after the weekend :/ K
  14. Well done Mrb Now to start my very long series of caches K
  15. In the beginning i worried about where and what i was going to send. My first tb has still not moved from the first person who picked it up. All the rest have done really well. I'm addicted to track-ables mostly tbs cause I can attach them to what i want. coins i keep Releasing them in new caches almost guarantees it will get picked up fast - any cache could get muggled in theory so it doesn't matter where you place it there is always that chance it would be walked off with. Don't over think it just set something free and hope it goes where you want it to Half the fun sometimes is it getting lost and finding its way back to its mission, but that's just me K
  16. You not far from me If you ever in the area and want to go caching I'm sure we can organise something. Just msg me through my profile
  17. I have to say I TOTALLY ENJOYED MYSELF! I had a rough week of working overtime and I was sooooooo looking forward to this precious 3 days off and I'm so glad I used them on the mega event and camping in ripon. I got to meet people I've been wanting to meet for ages and met up with people I met at the last event. As always everyone was super friendly and really helpful. Walking around caching and seeing so many people with pdas and yellow looking things was a real change. I didn't have to keep explaining what I was doing. I also did my first earth cache and Wherigo too. This was my first visit to Yorkshire and I will def go again in the future and drag my family along to cache and sight see. Again thank you for a super 3 days Now home again and I'm super exhausted and trying to log everything Kirstin
  18. Well done Phill! Thats fab Hope you had a super time!!
