I have read some threads concerning the Legend Cx locking up when plugging in the power or USB cable. I ordered mine from Cabela's in March. After approx. 1 week, while plugging in the 12 volt power adapter, the screen locked up and the unit would not respond. It would, however, work on AA battery power after removing and reinserting the batteries. But, each time I tried to reattach the power supply or usb cable, it would lock up.
I contacted Garmin Tech support, and got the "2-3 weeks" answer. They did say the "Cabela's has a great return policy", so I returned it to Cabela's for exchange.
I used that unit for approx. 3 weeks and SAME THING! Same answer from Garmin, and I just Shipped the 2nd bundle back to Cabela's this evening.
This seems very similar to the Vista problem they had with deleting the tracks and then powering off and having welcome screen lockup. Come to think of it, I may have deleted the Track log before the problem happened. I figure if it happens again I will be getting to know the boys at garmin much better.
Any ideas, or suggestions out there?
