  1. wow....must have been quite a trip to the International Space Station. WAY TO GO "FRIED OKRA"! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...cc-a6038ae288d5 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...59-8f1ccab4ee36 WHO-DEY!
  2. Well said VJ24. That is a good point! Nothing more embaressing than realizing your were trampling in the neighbors shrubs and flowers..especially in the snow...tracks don't lie!
  3. Well, Johngie has one in his side yard. Since I know of him...maybe my son and I will try his. Nobody can say I am not willing to change!
  4. where can one get the clone pictured above?
  5. Sounds like you are not spending enough quality time out finding caches with your family it is all releative....
  6. I have a small SUV. I removed the suction mounts and relocated the mounts to the vent to delete it from view of others. Here is what it looks like. They are both the same Akron vent mount. Got for $6.00 or less on Amazon.com. Take a look:
  7. I assumed they were fine, and that was not really the point. I just wanted to understand the whole ALR thing as I recalled there being some stiffer limits on what qualified. Who knows, someday I may get em..
  8. Thank you. I apreciate it. I was just curious. Never really comes up around here. I will likely be unable to do 12 consecutive months of either 25 or 50 caches in order to log a smiley on these. Happily I am a husband and a father of two...not enough time in 12 consecutive months to find 350 or 600 with that much regularity. se la vi
  9. simply so I understand. Are these two caches legit when considering the revised ALR rules? I know there were some differences noted or mentioned in other threads about "challenges" .vs others. GC22028 GC22029 ALso, where can I locate the ALR bit in the guidelines? Thanks all.
  10. the only issue I have ever had regarding the listing guidelines is that stages of Multi's count as a cache location. So a 4-5 stage leading to one cache can wrap up an entire park. Plus, unless you have fond the multi, and have those locations, youcan hide, name, and leave your cache to be published waaaay out in the woods....only to find out it is 489 feet from stage three of a mutli that ends in a micro. Nifty. Get the hiking boots on, again.... -WHO-DEY!
  11. I agree, it would be kinda cool to be able to find one almost anywhere anytime you had your phone with you. But I will stick with my trusty Oregon 400t. I really have it with me all times anyway...but I get it.
  12. I lost the stress of a busy week after one cache with my son.
  13. moments ago my 2 year old daughter ran into the living room for an oreo cookie I just set down and told her it was there waiting...she comes running in, big brother on her heels..and she grabs the cookie, and shouts at her 5 year old brother "I GOT IT FIRST". As I sat there watching the mayhem, I found myself pondering how important it was to my little girl to be the FIRST TO FIND the cookie...and the parallels were obvious... So, rather than mimic my two year old little girl...I will continue my path of caching with my kiddos, and at the end of the day, looking back and enjoy my 100% record of 325 of 325 FTF's, because: every single found cache a cacher gets a is a FTF. As it is our First Time Finding that cache. FTF's are not rare at all.
  14. wooden cyclist - every single cacher gets a FTF when the find a cache. As it is their First Time Finding that cache. FTF's are not rare at all.
  15. More cachers need to read this thread. Very well done...good input.
  16. knowschad. I thought of you over the weekend. (creeped out yet?) I was watching the olympics....and there was a snowboarder named "K.SCHAD".
  17. I like a good walk also. I saw two deer curled up by a river yesterday while out for a multi. That is pretty special.
  18. I am hungry now! You should have come to my front porch cache today, I just grilled pork loin fillets covered with Swiss cheese, yum! that would be a road trip from West Michigan.....and being a cacher...itwouldtake 100 timeslonger than it should.
