  1. The error screen has a link to twitter. When I go there the first item has a date of April 19 2019. it seems that your dabbling that screwed up one of the screens I wanted to use the other day has now screwed up the whole website. I used to work in IT and we had a motto that you should heed! IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!
  2. I've written a GSAK Macro to do it and it has the advantage that I can do more than 1000! It's a pity that the website developers decide to remove useful features from the website!
  3. There are 2 ways I can get round this. First is to write a screen scraping macro that will loop round adding 1 cache at a time. The second is to write a gsak macro that will add them 1 at a time and refresh the database once all have been added. I'm sure both of these methods will take longer and use more resources than the bulk add option which adds 1000 caches in a few seconds! Unless I get a response soon, I will have to start work on one of these methods.
  4. Up until yesterday, I was able to add up to 1000 caches to a bookmark list by putting their GC code (comma separated) into the "bulk add" box. This seems to have disappeared. It was a very useful way to get caches into GSAK as I could export the bookmark list as a gpx then load it into GSAK. Can it be reinstated quickly please?
  5. My "add to list" is now working from the cache page. Even though I had "followed" this post and also put "notify me of replies" on my last post. I haven't received any notification of more recent posts. Also nobody seems to have put on here that it has been fixed! However if i then refresh the cache and click on the list in "My bookmark list" it tells me The List you are trying to access is private. Yes it is private but it is my list - surely I should be able to look at my own lists! So problem not fully fixed!
  6. As this was reported sometime ago, can anybody say when it will be fixed. I would have raised it earlier, but I thought it was because I was using Windows XP and old versions of the browsers. Today I tried on a Windows 10 laptop with latest chrome and edge browsers but got the same result hence why I started looking at the forum pages. On the cache page, I put my mouse on "add to list" and it underlines, but nothing happens if I click on it. Then tried viewing the list and clicking the "add cache" button, but the next screen has a "add geocache" button which is grey and not clickable. Looking forward to an explanation as to why this has happened and when it will be fixed!
  7. I was on my computer this morning when one of my pocket queries was showing unfound caches that I had not received notifications for. 15 caches were published and the first one to have a found log was http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC61JC1_9-folchy-walk which was logged as found at 10:26. The first notification was received at 15:25 followed by 15:29, 15:36, two at 15:38, two at 15:39, three at 15:40, two at 15:49, 15:55 and the final two at 15:56. All of these were over 5 hours after publication and had all been found before any notification was received. The reason I pay £24.99 for a years premium membership is so that I get access to premium member only caches and I receive notifications of new cache published. A notification 5 hours later is not really that useful. Was this a glitch as normally the notifications are usually instant? I don't know if I have posted this in the right place, it is my first post. I did try looking on the geocaching.com site for help/support but there doesn't seem to be an option on there.
  8. I tried right clicking the geocaching app in iTunes and choosing "Show in windows explorer" which took me to the "mobile applications" directory" which I already knew the location of. It only had the current version "Geocaching 6.2.2.ipa" and no previous versions. There is discussion above suggesting that if I can get an old version, I would have to jailbreak the phone to install it. I would have thought that all I would need to do would be 1. Copy "Geocaching 6.2.2.ipa" to another directory. 2. Remove Geocaching from iTunes 3. Put the old version into the "mobile applications" directory 4. Use "add file to library" to add the old version into iTunes 5. Connect the iPhone 3 and on the apps tab, make sure that the geocaching app is set to install 6. Sync the iPhone 3 to put the app on the phone 7. Disconnect the iPhone 3 8. Remove old Geocaching from iTunes making sure a copy is kept 9. Put the copied latest version into the "mobile applications" directory 10. Use "add file to library" to add the current version back into iTunes The only thing I'm short of is the geocaching app that is compatible with the iPhone 3 / IOS 4.2.1
  9. So how do I get an older version of the App? If I go to the App Store on my iPhone 4 and look in Updates / Purchases it shows that I have Version 6.2.1 on my phone and gives me the option to open the App (The App itself tells me it is 6.2.2). On the iPhone 3 there is no option for purchases under updates. On iTunes it shows I currently have version 6.2.2 and this is the only version I can download. Surely Groundspeak keep previous versions even if Apple's App Store and ITunes don't! Thanks Graham
  10. I've had a look on my iTunes purchase history and these are the geocaching apps that have been downloaded 27/09/10 v4.1.2 13/11/10 v4.1.3 20/11/10 v4.2 20/12/10 v4.2.1 07/07/11 v4.5 16/07/11 v4.5.1 The latest version I have is v6.2.2 which was updated on the phone rather than via iTunes so it didn't make the purchase history. The directory on my computer where iTunes stores them only contains the 1 file and that is "Geocaching 6.2.2.ipa" as it appears that iTunes deletes the old version when a new version is downloaded. You would think that iTunes would keep a copy of the previous versions and allow people who have purchased the app to download an older version. What happens if somebody loses or damages their phone? They will want to load old versions of their apps on their replacement phone.
  11. I tried downloading the app from my App Store account. I didn't want to try it from my brother-in-law's App Store account as I didn't know if it would charge him (It didn't say FREE). I went to the updates page and there is no purchased option. I have a screen print but it won't allow me to include it in this message. Thanks Graham
  12. Hi, I have tried to find this information elsewhere on the forum without success so I apologize if it is already answered elsewhere. When I got my iPhone4 water damaged, my brother-in-law kindly lent me an iPhone3 whilst my phone was being repaired. I configured it how I wanted it and when I got my phone back removed everything that I thought I had put on it, including the geocaching app which both I and my brother-in-law had purchased. I didn't think this was a problem as I could always reinstall it from the app store. When I tried this I got the message This application requires IOS 6.1 or later. You must update to IOS 6.1 in order to download and use this application. If I connect the iPhone3 to iTunes and click "Check for Update" I get the message This version of the iPhone software (4.2.1) is the current version. Obviously there was a version that worked on the iPhone3 so how do I download and install it onto the phone? The article on link http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/09/17/apples-ios-app-store-now-offers-last-compatible-versions-of-apps-for-older-devices would suggest that I should be able to download an old version of the app. I look forward to any help to resolve this. Thanks Graham
