  2. I don't think that it is possible to use Memory Map files on the Montana. I used to use the Memory Map app on a Monterra but that was a Garmin Android GPSr. Having seen the quality of the BirdsEye Select Maps, I splashed out on the official Garmin OSGB 1:25k mapping on an SD Card a few years ago. The clarity of the mapping is quite poor compared to even SD Memory Map quality. When I spoke to a Garmin representative, he said that the resolution of the Full UK map was deliberately reduced to fit it on the SD card - I hope this isn't the case now! Luke
  3. Correct - New London Bridge was sold and relocated to Lake Havasu City in Arizona. Your turn
  4. Yes - It is possible via a pocket query (a tool available to Premium Members)or by compiling a gpx file on a website such as Project GC.
  5. Hi Denny The random nature of the problem sounds like it could be linked to a bug, so may be worth contacting Satmap directly for a solution. In the meantime, when you delete 1 cache and all the others transfer, does it matter which cache in the set you delete? Could it be that one cache is causing a problem with the transfer of all the others due to size or something else? I know that it shouldn't, but it might be. A number of years ago, I spotted and reported a problem to the Satsync software engineers as I noticed that it was ignoring caches (and not sending them to the device) if they had improperly formed html in their description. It was all fixed in the end though. Good luck, Luke
  6. Hi Denny Sorry to hear that you had a faulty unit, although at least that explains one of your problems. How are you sending the caches to your Satmap internal memory? Are you trying to do it using Satsync or as if the Satmap is a Mass Storage Device? Transfer of caches is only possible using Satsync. Luke
  7. Hi Hawardenleaders I've been an A10 user for a number of years now and not had the problems that you have described. The orange circle should track smoothly as you move the centre joystick in Map Mode. By checking the box in the settings options in Satsync, you can ask it to fetch and download Spoiler pictures for caches when you import your PQ/GPX file, although it will obviously take a lot longer, depending on the number of caches that it has to process. As the A12 is the newer unit, it may be that it still has some bugs, so if you haven't reported them to Satmap directly, it might be worth doing so. I've always found them to be very helpful. It is also worth checking that you have the most up to date version of Satsync and that you are running the most up to date firmware on your A12. I can see that a Satsync issue with downloading Spoiler pictures from GC.com was resolved back in Version 1.520, but that was a long time ago now. You can check the version history yourself here https://satmap.com/satsync-version-history Good luck, Luke
  8. We haven't cached in Shetland for many years, but when we did, we enjoyed seeing St Ninian's Isle - Look at GC1KB63 to give you an idea. We also enjoyed driving past the airport at Sumburgh to visit Sumburgh Head Lighthouse where you can often see puffins - See GC56E92. If you have time, it's also well worth travelling to see Unst Bus Shelter - GC1TK5D and the UK's most Northerly cache Sexy Muckle Flugga (Herma Ness, Unst, Shetland) - GC1QJE6. Have a great trip, Luke
  9. Assuming that you are prepared to walk on Bodmin Moor, http://coord.info/GC138VE is a great cache in a superb location. You may also enjoy the other caches around Minions. Roughly how far are you prepared to venture from Liskeard?
  10. Congrats on getting a Satmap I hope you found that cache. If you ever upgrade to premium membership, you'll be able to download then import all the details for hundreds (perhaps thousands) of caches straight into your A10. Give me a shout if you need more help.
  11. One in Devon that I know of is GC1MQ6R - Had great fun doing it!
